It really got me thinking about taking my home network security more seriously, but I wanted something simple and very effective.

Trend Micro gives you a little black box you plug into your existing router which constantly updates with patches for the latest threats.
It gives you massive control over every device on your network using their app. It lets your limit exactly how and when each device uses the internet. Perfect for getting the kids off the tablet!

While trend micro is one of the better av out there, wtf does this have to do with facebook? I'm alarmed you have no idea, yet you peddle with this. What a shameless plug.

… or the sudden realisation that your data has been legitimately released to the ATO, Centrelink, and pharmaceutical companies.

24 month sub is $299 direct from Trend, so this is cheaper?

      • $30 cheaper than the going rate
Don't see the relevance of quoting inflated RRP in these deals

  • Yesterday's Facebook 50MM

    50 millimetre ?

Please explain how this software will protect you against this Facebook security flaw.

    • +3

It doesn’t and it won’t. The OP was just “thinking” about security when they read about Facebook’s security flaw.
Eg. it’s raining today, it got me thinking about the garden and the environment. So I went and bought a Tesla Model S.

    • its a shameless plug as said above

  • Just curious how will this software help protect users from a fundamental security issue of Facebook?

"Three bugs relating to Facebook’s “View As” feature, which lets users see what their profiles look like when other people view them. A video upload tool—intended to enable “Happy Birthday” videos—would erroneously appear on the “View As” page, and provide the access token of whomever the hacker searched for"

  • Negging because significantly cheaper elsewhere:-

    $229 - 5% code PENNY5 = $217.55

Negging due to trying to leverage fear around a Facebook data breach to sell a product which has no relevance to protecting against such data breaches

I was driving & saw an accident. Did I post an car insurance quote here? No. Because it wouldn't be a deal. This site is about spreading deals not fear. Neg from me

Falied marketing attempt! This is what happen when non-technical guys attempt to be technical sales specialists.

Facebook issue is not related to people's personal PC and not even a malware issue in Facebook servers. So this product is absolutely useless for the Facebook issue.

Using fear to promote security products is so low.
