    Double edge gang.

This stuff is good, I used to use it a couple of years ago. Now I've gone even cheaper though and use a bottle of olive oil (the basil infused stuff is nice). A small bottle lasts a year or more and I find my skin is in far better condition. If you want to be really cheap, get a bottle of paraffin oil from Bunnings (I've used it in a pinch, it's a bit thin, but it works!)

My last purchase from Amazon US (before the GST debacle) was to try a box of Arko shaving sticks at less than AU$2 each. The first one is about halfway done after daily use for 3 months.

      • That's a young Santa.

      • Added bonus is that you can their the rest down the dunny as they smell like urinal pucks.

      • Woolworths used to sell something like that for about $2.

    • arko shave stick …mine has been going for a year ….bought off ebay……once you get into shave soaps and away from aerosol cans it’s amazing how long soaps last and how cheap they are unless you get into the designer stuff.

de razor and shave soap is probabaly one of the cheaper ways to economize if house repayments are still part of your budget….regardless of if you are a man or a woman…..hate to think how much aerosol shave cream women use.

    Thanks for posting OP.

Most people would know the Shea butter one as Sandalwood- you had me confused there for a second! (not your fault though, the seller's listing has it labeled that way too).

And here's a guy who's really into shaving with the Shea Butter version (Apparently it blows something out of the window… OUT OF THE WINDOW!).

I mainly use Faulding/Sanofi Shave, the $2.50 brown and yellow tube on the bottom shelf at Coles/Woolies. First considered it because I needed a small tube for travel and some of the folks at Badger and Blade were saying it was decent, but it's actually surprisingly good, I find it better than a previous Proraso cream I had

Spend a little more and try Talior of Old Bond Street.

Lathers much better and is an overall better product.

I'll challenge this. I have a heap of TOBS and other high end soaps. In the end I keep going back to Proraso and Tabac.

Tabac for winter, Proraso for summer. That tingly cooling eucalyptus sensation is great when it's hot.

      • as places like myer and DJ try and sell more cosmetics due to margins, etc, im surprised they don’t get into shave soaps and shave brushed in the men’s toiletries section, even just people buying for gifts.

only stuff i can get aftershave soap and deodorant in is tabac …

miss the days when you could get old spice in shave soap, deodorant and aftershave.

    • Can’t agree more with FiftyCal on this. I’ve had the same experience. Used 3 different tubs of TOB but the Proraso Eucalyptus is hard to beat in summer. TOB lathers better though.

    • Tried the TOBS sampler pack (tried at least 6 different creams) and honestly ended up going back to Proraso.
Love the smell, feel, and price.

  • Not judging the deal but be aware that buying this stuff online when you can't see an expiry date could have you put an expired/rancid cream on your face skin.
It happened to me with a similar product.

    • Bull crap. I've had a tub of this in my rotation for 5 years or more.

  • Thanks

  • Maybe im remembering wrongly, but isnt the regular price for Proraso cheaper than $11.65 elsewhere and its only higher here due to the usual markups?

Edit : According to the ebay listing, the usual price is $12.95 so this is only a 10% discount…

    • This is relatively a new listing from Shavershop. As mentioned in the OP, other sellers price it around $16

      • yeah, postage drives up somethings ….. wonder if shavershop honour these prices for store walk ins , actually should be cheaper as no postage or packaging involved though it would come from warehouse vs retail shop rent costs…wouldnt mind trying the eucalyptus,

  • Being a baldy for most of my adult life I shave my head/face.. I used to use this… then i ran out and used a 1.90 shampoo from coles and my head feels softer then shaving cream. Go figure.

  • This is only $11.65 delivered if you've got an eBay Plus membership. Otherwise you'll be slugged with a $10 delivery fee making it $21.65 delivered.

    • It’s $11:65 for all irrespective of having eBay plus or not.

      • Oh crap. At first it was showing a $10 delivery fee and then i entered my post code in and it came up as free delivery. My mistake. It must be because i had the web browser cookies cleared today.
