I'm seeing $40 postage to WA

    • I stick with Austin Computer ,PLE and MSY most of the times for PC Components.

      • I usually go with futu online ebay store during 20% off sales, cheaper than PLE and Austin, usually even cheaper than MSY.
I go with PLE if i need reliable warranty and service.

      • +1

Don't buy from Austin if you want post sales support. I had to complain for months and eventually go through a formal consumer affairs claim for them to process my RMA

        • Thanks for your input. Definitely will add futu, computer alliance and fast tech on ebay for their free shipping.

  • Ive just bought a 2080 for double that, yeh silly i know.

    • +6

      You are double silly

      • +3

but double excited too!! 1440p ultrawide to drive :P

        • +2

My RTX 2080 is driving my Alienware 3418DW as we speak, I can't stop grinning !!!

          @Arnor
          @dickmojo
hitting sweet 100+ fps at all?

          • @yoba: Ill have it by Thursday

          • @yoba: Yep 100+ easily most of the time :)

            • @Gamer Dad Reviews: Hey dickmojo, what cpu do you have? Im keen to compare stats/fps for our setups, with the 2080 and 1440p monitors.
              PM me if you want.

    • Don't tell the mods. They'll lock your Ozbargain account and revoke your licence.

      RTX2080 for $1k? That's a reasonably good deal.

I am running at GTX1070 at 1440p on a 27" g-sync monitor, it is good enough for me and can play most titles at ultra or high and with shadows turned down helps fps count massively. I expect this setup to last me for a while. If this fails, my PS4 Pro will suffice.

Great deal and good enough for anyone not running 4k currently or wanting to in the near future.

    • I'll buy your RTX 2080 for $1040 then?

  • Don't get the missing actual store pick up. 2 minutes to store. 5 minutes to parcel point and pay $24.

    • There's no actual pickup option. To get store pickup you need to buy from UMART's own website.

The stock they sell on eBay is from their warehouses.

There are two types of click and collects on eBay — the first Option is the most common but you still need to pay a delivery fee but instead of shipping to your house address they ship to a Parcel point, while the second type is collecting from a retail store. Only big name retailers do this sort of pickup (The Good Guys / MYER / Bing Lee for example)

      • Yeap, that's exactly what I meant. the 2nd option isn't provided. and their own website is more expensive. I guess I'll keep waiting for my 1070ti. lol.

Just read a few reviews about it, seems like a good card to get. Main complaints seem to be the Mystic Light software and some coil whine. Thinking of jumping on it…though if I do get this card, then I guess I'll be going for another Micro ATX build instead of a Mini ITX one.

    • +1

I always wanted to try an mITX build with a ncase m1. Cost of it all has stopped me … :)

WTF is happening with the 10 series prices. They dropping like crazy. It wasn't long ago I was seeing $700+ all over the place.

    • +4

      RTX

    • +3

They are dropping but they are not even close where they should be …. still… 1.5 years ago the prices were similar to what they are now, maybe now they are a little cheaper by about 7-8% but it is 1.5 years difference for something that should be a lot lower now.

      • The reality is, the pascal cards are quite good, regardless of their tech birthdate.

  • Anyone knows if there's going to be more deals on the 1070 ti series coming up?

    • … yes, there will be.

    • +2

… no, this is the last one.

  • eBay doesn’t let me add the coupon code in, it just keeps saying it can’t be applied. Anything I’m missing?

    • Have you used the code twice already? A maximum of two transactions applies.

The MSI 1070ti ( Armor ) was $800 in April. It can’t run 4k with decent fps. It does 2k pretty well. Silent under load. I don’t know if the Duke is the same.

  • +2

Geez that's tempting. I won't buy a 2000 series card I don't think. Their silly prices are making me look harder at screen upgrades and a run out 1070 or 1080…

    • Wait until Black Friday/Christmas. Not that far away and probably some good discounts around that time

  • +2

Just to let you guys know it's currently $519 from Mwave at the moment.

While it is $6 more expensive and you don't get free shipping, you might be able to use (if you had any previously) Mwave dollar/points.
