  • What's the difference between Hisense 65P6 and 65N6? Which is better? The Hisense N6/7's seem to be more popular on OzBargain.

N is 2017 model. P is 2018. Models range from 4-9 i.e N4,N5….N9. The higher the number the better (and more expensive)

You know this is hisense and not TCL?

all asian brands must look the same to him

Good price. Now to research if I should be paying a bit extra for the P7 or not.

    • +4

I'll help you a bit as I'm looking at the P7 myself

P6 uses an 8bit panel versus the 10bit panel in the P7 which provides the proper 10bit HDR. This is where you get the extended "wide range colour gamut".

For comparison, with 8 bit panels you're getting ~16million colours whereas you're getting >1billion colours with the 10 bit panel. If you see them side by side in store it's quite easy to tell the difference. P6 looks so much more washed out whereas the 7 is clearly more vivid. I just wish Good Guys would list the P7 on their eBay page!!

      • So, basically all 10bit TV's offer better colours, right?

How would you compare P7 to the 55" LG UK540 that is on sale as well on good guys?

        • I've done some further research as I was asking the same questions over on that other channel and, although what I've been looking up has been centred around the Hisense tv rather than the competition, I'm pretty firmly leaning towards it being the best option for its price range. I could be wrong. I've only done about a week's worth of research on all this stuff so I'm not exactly an expert

          • @Ninternet: Yeah but p7 of the same size are much more expensive

            • @nikoris: Depends if you want to get a bigger tv of lower quality or smaller tv with richer colours I guess

      • Sounds like worth waiting for a deal on the P7 then. Appreciate the input. Might get on down to JB Hifi this weekend to check them out too.

      • P6 link shows HDR10. I think that's inaccurate.

      • Thanks!

    • Yep you should. I checked it at jb and I can't remember why but I decided not to get p6

Very good TV bought mine last year about the same time $1650. Mainly for Netflix and YouTube, no problem at all.

  • For some reason, eBay won't let me apply the coupon, it keeps saying 'This code can't be applied to your order.'.
    Any help?

    • +1

I just placed an order last night using ebay's mobile app and there is no problem. I chose click and collect so it's $1196 total.

      • I just tried that, via the mobile app and it tells me exactly the same again. Dang! I have copy/pasted the code, so there is no room for error. Really strange.

      • use the mobile which works

  • Shame the best deals are one ebay. I really want to use afterpay or zippay.

*on. Where did the edit button go?

  • How does this TCL tv compare?

    It's only $1268

Does anyone know the flat pack dimensions of this tv? Wondering if I can fit it in my car or whether I should just get it delivered.

  • Went to Good Guys to check out the sound on this and it was fairly tinny.

    • +1

Sound is terrible on vast majority of TVs that I've seen. That's what home theater/sound bar is for. Can't expect much when they are as thin as they are.

  • What does everyone else think of the colour on this thing? Not sure if I have a bad one, it looked good in store, but the one I have looks very washed out, comparing it to a 55 Panasonic plasma and a 32 Samsung fhd LCD. Have had a bit of a play but just seems a bit crap.

  • So happy, I just received it and it’s a 65p7! Series 7, even better. All for $1251 delivered, I think I got very lucky :)
