Hi, don't you see there is a cheaper one:
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Car-Holder-Mount-Cradle-CR-115-4-Noki…

    • touche my friend

    • just worry because they did not said it is a Genuine product

      • "Brand new and bulk packaged in an original Nokia poly bag"

Do Nokia package their retail items in bags?
I'm going to buy one of each just to see the difference :)

    • Probably a genuine Hong Kong copy but at half the price again.

  • I bought one from China for 0.5aud… in plastic bag as well…not sure it is the genuine or not…

    • as long as it does the bag right it shouldnt really matter much for something this cheap
got mine from DX for 6 bucks

  • I purchased the genuine nokia item from dse last week for $35 each, the genuine one comes in a nokia cardboard retail box and is great quality over the crappy generic ones ive owned before. If this is genuine nokia for $9.95, its a bargain!

  • Earlier last year if you had an E Series nokia all you had to do was give nokia a call and they sent one of these out as part of their GPS Kit - Free of charge and even included a car charger.

I bought a genuine PS3 controllel from HK once. The looks, packaging and print was the electrical components were entirely different and it died in 6 months. I doubt this is anywhere near genuine plus its an insufficient ebay listing. Furthermore, no returns accepted.

    • Is a plastic mobile phone holder able to die and/or explode? :S
Provided that you dont bomb it or sit on it.

Are you seriously trying to compare something as simple as a mobile phone holder with a PS3 controller? Everyone would realise buying a ps3 controller from HK is a bad idea… well almost everyone.

      • No I am not, you are the one who compared. Don't sell me a Nokia holder that is not a Nokia holder period.

        • It looks like a Nokia holder. I don't know if it's 100% genuine but it does look the part (I have a genuine Nokia holder to compare it to). The moulding is excellent, the plastic isn't brittle and flat-black like the usual cheapo mounts on ebay, and it isn't loose like the youtube vid netsurfer posted. There's a definite click when you attach the holder to the suction cup - it looks like that guy didn't click it in.

You negged based on … your past experience with a completely different product purchased from a completely different seller? Hmm.

  • Watch this youtube movie (Nokia CR 115 Problem) before you buy.

Don't see how that video is relevant. It would take some pretty crazy cornering to get enough sideways momentum to push the phone out as shown in the video, I'd say you would have to be driving a Formula 1 car !

      • What if you want to use CR 115 in landscape mode? CR 115 seems to be limited in portrait mode (which is fine for older Symbian phones).

  • These are the Nokia phones that fit it, other brands you'd have to measure.

    http://www.nokia.com.au/find-products/accessories/all-access…

There are other CR models if your phone's dimensions are different.

Seems rather expensive for a holder with no charging. But then I seldom get calls, let alone calls while driving so I'm not looking for a holder.

  • I just received mine, no idea if it's truly genuine but it does look and feel the part.

Landscape is no problem, just rotate the bracket.

It barely fits a 4.3" Desire HD - you have to slide it in. It'll work fine with any phone narrower than a large DHD.

Now, to find a use for it…..

  • Got mine today too! and it looks like sellers have raised the prices on them. Im not too sure the plastic housing ball in the hinge will survive a hot Australian summer. Only time will tell i guess.
