the jetstar Phuket flight is one of the better low cost flights i have been on. USB charging, free headphones and free water. Well worth it at this price

    • $179 one way, $500 return. Typical Jetstar

      • Still not too bad. I've flown it and would again.

  • Not a bad deal but Hawaiian is having a sale - $745 return from syd/bne inclusive of bags and meals.

Agreed. The way I tend to look at it is that I can travel sans-checked luggage, especially to a warm place. 10ish hours of mild discomfort listening to podcasts, I can spend the difference on a hotel upgrade instead!

But yes, depends on the person, route, and type of holiday they're looking at.

      • Yeah same. I've flown to Hawaii with Jetstar 2 years ago and am booked in again for next year 2 weeks this time. $450 return with front row seats and checked luggage on the way back (outlet shopping) is a pretty good in my books. Hawaii is an expensive place even for the ozbargain savvy so saving $300 is nothing to sneeze at.

  • Anyone know if they will do another return for free deal? I missed out on the last one and keen to book flights to Phuket next year.

  • Came looking for amusing play on words using mispronunciation of Phuket. Left disappointed.
