  • apparently the camera is shocking?

They don't give it a good review thats for sure…I would have got one if the camera was a little better.

Camera was improved with an update so look for later reviews. Also think I read another update is coming with further improvements.

I'm pretty happy with the camera, sure there are better ones but for the money you are getting a hell of a deal.

      • Get Google Camera port, now with Night Sight mode.

Need Pie update though, so sometimes this month?

    • As a everyday Nokia 8 user I'm happy with the camera for general use. From mid 2018 and onward, HMB Global (company owning Nokia) have improved the camera image quality, made unlocked bootloader official and this month November Android Pie should be available. Bare in mind, a lot of the reviews from early 2018 are outdated.

5.3 inches is pretty small (That's what she said etc), other phones with a lot more into that space without the doormat sized chins.

    • It's a good size, average!

Also who cares about a little extra around the edges. More to hold on to bby.

  • I got the 4GB version from the last deal and its a great phone for AUD$300, except the reception!!!! I bought it to replace a Xiaomi Note4 as it had band28. But the reception I have out here in Central Qld is actually worse on the Nokia 8. Bit of a shame!!!

    • You bought it from coolicool ? If yes, Did they normally ask for credit card details photo after placing the order online.

      • If they keep asking they will keep not having sales.

    • I have the same model, awesome phone for the price.

  • I have the 4GB model with the updated camera software and camera takes good pics, a little on the dark side though

    • some people don’t seem to under stand that part of camera is hardware eg lens manufacturer, size, etc the other part is software which often gets updated at some stage and improves picture quality.

with android one people have wide choice of what software they want to use if not happy with the default bundle.

apple also in the past have updated software to get better picture quality.

  • I been looking at the 64Gb version of this phone. It is selling on Catch for $340, import from HK. I read a few reviews and seems like a good value for money phone.

  • You're better off getting the 7 Plus despite the 835 Snapdragon in this one!
