      Cherry reds are the most well known and popular switches.

      Cherry switches also come in other colours, each with specific characteristics (tactility, noise, travel etc).

      Most other switch brands are cheaper…and they usually come compromises. However there are some which are still great.

        I've always considered Cherry MX Blue to be the most well known. They're the clacky clacky ones that give mechanical keyboards their reputation. I gather red is popular in gaming circles though.

    The correct name is Cherry MX Red.

    Some imitations call themselves Cherry Red.
