Straight outta ‘singles’ day and straight into click frenzy. What a time to be alive.

    • +3

Just wanna say it looks like they've increased their price by $10 just for this sale lol. Prices during singles day was ~$126 for 5kg, it's now $137. Cheeky move by myprotein but the 50% off still makes it a pretty decent price point ($68/5kg).

      • which one is that? I am seeing $199.99/5kg

        • +1

          whey protein concentrate

          • @Mike444: thanks. just realise only some flavors has the 5kg for $137

            • @bloodymonday: Can anyone tell me what the cheapest WPC is in 5 to 10 kg?

I'm at the beach and can't see shit on my phone.

              Thanks in advance.

              • +2

@Scrooge McDuck: Biggest bag they sell is 5kg that I can see.

Edit: Best price for 10kg is unflavoured, which will set you back at AUD$141.97 delivered. Personally though, I'd pay the extra $5 to get flavoured for AUD$146.97

                • +6

                  @t3chshopper: Thank you.

I've been eating children and rice for the past 6 months, so I'm not bothered about flavour.

                  • @Scrooge McDuck: I'm going to assume that's a typo!

                  • +2

@Scrooge McDuck: That is one of the best typos I've ever seen on here. Gold!

                    • @ilikeit: children are higher in protein than chicken and less likely to contain salmonella. bloody expensive though.

                    • +3

@ilikeit: Just got off the phone with my agent, all my shopping centre appearances for the next month have been cancelled. :[

      • Omg I saw that too!

  • worked for me thanks!

  • Awesome. Thanks OP!

    • BTW, this is actually pretty decent.

This time (frenzy sale) last year I paid AUD$165.08 for 2x 5kg of Impact Whey, including delivery.

I've just ordered 2x 5kg of Impact Whey, and it only cost AUD$146.98, including delivery.

  • awesome price.

any one in north Bris/ CBD want to split an order ? (free delivery with $100+ order ) I don't want to pay $19.99 for <$100 order but don't need $100 of protein)

    • I’d be keen, PM’d.

    • still valid? mate?

      • Same here still valid? Looking for someone to share the delivery

        • still looking for order splitting people to avoid delivery

  • +1

Try the strawberry roly poly flavour, its good.

  • +2

Avoid chocolate brownie flavour, holy shit it's bad.

    • Was just about to buy it, what is it about it that makes it bad if I may ask?

      • +1

I really like the Chocolate brownie. Ive tried Chocolate Caramel, Chocolate Banana, Chocolate Smooth, Banana, Vanilla, Cookies and Cream and Brownie flavour is one of my favs.

      • +3

It's just not good. Tastes pretty bland, especially compared to other brands. It's fine if you just want the protons, but taste wise I'd avoid.

        • Which variant would you recommend if I prefer a chocolate like flavour? Also interested in strawberry cream (think of those Wendy’s milkshakes as a kid), would this strawberry cream taste similar in your experience?

          • @bonkers22: Can't say I've had the strawberry cream, though it sounds delicious.

Choc Peanut Butter is good, as is Choc Mint.

  • +2

    Thanks for the gains OP.

  • +2

    Best flavour plz?

    • Strawberry Jam Roly Poly, even better when blend with berries and milk. I dont even normally like strawberry shakes but this is good.

  • Just wondering if ShopBack or Cashrewards will add the code to their websites to be sure cashback is given.

  • Any thoughts on Organic whey protein…comes to 35$ per 1 kg…

    Is it worth?

    • Yes it's all right, it's a concentrate.

  • +2

Any Bulk Nutrients codes floating around? Even wtih the discount on this deal, Bulk Nutrients protein is still cheaper once you factor in shipping.

    • I always buy this in bulk and end up with free shipping.

    • Not if you spend over $150, and get free shipping.

      I just bought 15kgs for $205 delivered. That's under $14/kg

      • That's pretty decent. Which protein did you order?

      • Yeah, also get the extra 1kg and shaker, now just to find some friends to go in with me to hit the $170 mark.

        • Oh nevermind, just realised it's only a 250g pouch of the Hokkaido Milk you get at $170

  • Anyone in Sydney CBD want to split >$100 order?

    PM me

    • Sorry guys already found a taker

  • +7

They definitely increased their prices from yesterday.

    • +3

They're likely going to become known for price jacking for sales.

      • +1

I was going to say, their standard prices seem very high compared to the other online retailers around, so the prices got jacked up did they before the sale? thats poor form.

        • +1

I know for sure they increased their sugar free syrups by 1 dollar, and their FlavDrops. Their protein bars also increased quite a few dollars.

          • @vee124: That makes sense then, I was wondering how they could possibly be in business with some of their standard prices as noone will buy them at those prices with all the other options around.

        • I think they're always really high, because I looked at them last time they had the 35% off and their WPC was still $42/kg, ridiculous.

    • +1

      Time to report them?

  • Thanks OP. Just in time as mine has almost ran out

  • +1

VPA still cheaper when you sign up to newsletter deals

    • +1

How much is vpa? I ordered isolate from myprotein and it's $100 for 5kgs. I haven't seen cheaper since the last deal from Amazon.

      • Thats a great price. maybe I was looking at the wrong items. I could only see WPC at $40/kg -50% = $20.
VPA consistently has 5kg x WPC for $105 + extra 1kg free. So effectively 6kg for $105 ($17.5/kg) for WPC tho.
WPI might be more exy tho.
I would jump on 5kg of WPC for under $17/kg if I could get it.

        • thats not bad but question is how is their flavouring as i like some of the US brands protein purely because their powders mix so much better and flavouring can be really good. ON powders can sometimes be found for good prices.

          • @lonewolf: VPA is probably my favourite local brand (a bit better than Bulk Nutrients, not sure which I prefer), never tried Myprotein though.

      • +2

mp is so crap i would not buy again even if they were half price of vpa or bn.

        • why do you say that? Is it the flavour or quality?

          • -1

@lonewolf: I have heard that they use cheap fillers in their protein products, resulting in higher protein volume per servings compared to others, but the "additional protein" is just the marketing gimmick.
eg: MyProtein has 21-23gr Protein per 25gr serving size. While Optimum Nutrition has 24gr Protein per 30gr serving size.

            • @scooboo: I was wondering if they were one of the companies that got into trouble for it as i felt like i had heard negative things about their company in the past but i wasnt sure. I believe there was some ozbargain threads on it as well as other sites.

            • +1

@scooboo: That doesn't make any sense?

Using cheap fillers to increase protein content?

I used to use Myprotein a long time ago and have never heard anything bad about them. Although That may have changed recently. I see they have pushed more towards a brand, they used to be about no frills decent quality good bulk price products.

Seems they are aiming for a more value add market now

              • +1

@Mrgreenz: There are some cheap aminos and other proteins you can use as fillers to increase the protein content but doesnt mean you are getting the same types of proteins as what WPI generally give in terms of ratios etc.

                • @lonewolf: Ah ok, I take that back then. I was under the impression that WPC is generally the cheapest protein you can get and so it wouldn't make sense to cut with another protein source.

WPI I've never really bothered with after using a few times.

  • Is the Frenzy50 code still working?

    • yes

      • Just used it. Yes.

  • Can somebody recommend good flavours please.
Looking to buy more than 10 kilos!

  • Any idea where their protein / dairy is from? Is it Australian or NZ or US ?

  • Nice.

  • +2

So if my very first order, does the 30% off 1st order stack with this 50% off discount?

    • You can override the 30% off by putting in the new code.

    • Nope. 50%, and should be able to use shopback for an extra 6% off tho.

  • Anyone in Toowoomba?

  • +2

Buy this or wait for another deal for ON Gold?

    Looking for WPI.

  • Anyone in Sydney south would like to split order? I have got $68.50 in cart

    PM me

  • Anyone want to split shipping in Sydney/Parra/Norwest

    Cheers?

  • +1

Delivery cost to VIC $19.99. Holy cow!

    • Same for Sydney.

    • Coming from the UK so not so bad.

    • If you get more than $100 worth of stuff it goes down to $10. Free over $150. I bought some shorts and some other stuff to get it over $150.

      • Is there any minimum to spend time to avoid shipping?

        • Free over $150

  • +3

From the http://reddit.com/r/fitmeals sub they surveyed over 3,000 users on MyProtein flavours. Results are here

    • Salted Caramel comes out with pretty consistent 4 or 5 star ratings. Ordered 5kg

  • +2

    $20 delivery kills it

  • +1

    Tried over 10 flavours.
I would go with Choc Mint, Mocha & Strawberry Cream.
    Blueberry cheesecake is ok.

Most flavours are hit and miss. Best to try the sample servings or get the flavdrops and create your own flavour.

    • I tried Tiramisu, stevia banana and pistachio. Pistachio was awful, stevia banana average and tiramisu was really good. Would def buy tiramisu again.

  • FYI it's $20 delivery. If you buy $100+ worth of stuff its $10 and free over $150. I bought some shorts and some protein bars to get it over the $150 mark. Or alternately split the cost with someone.

  • code didn't work for me :-(

  • +1

THEY JUST INCREASED the spend you had to make to get the freebies.. Bah,

    • Yes ridiculous and and they used to offer much more stuff.

  • Anyone know if any of the clothes are good, trying to get it over the free shipping mark but I don't know if just buying more protein will be worth more.

    • +1

I wear a tank top. Not too bad I would say.
