  • Seems to be free delivery which is good also

  • Where do you enter the code? I entered it at eVoucher and it says "That is not a valid eVoucher. Please check your code and try again"

  • Which ones good? And relatively quiet?

I guess you just stick the tube out the window and empty the water every once in a while when it fills up?

    • +1

I think the Kogan ones are quite loud from the reviews on productreview

    • +1

I have the 1200 btu one (I think, I bought it for last summer) and it's kind of loud but definitely effective and worth the price. Yes about sticking the tube out the window; I have never emptied the water, however, because I believe that's what the tube out the window is for. If you can't exhaust it outside, you can use it without (but then empty the water). From reading the manual, it's not a difficult process. I think you can even reuse something like a 3L milk bottle and have it constantly draining? Memory hazy on this, too.

      • Interesting that you can run it without the tube? My experience with a portable that a housemate once owned was that the tube blew hot air out… Wouldn't keeping that in the room reduce the effectiveness of the aircon unit? Am I missing something here?

  • Also what’s people experience with the smarter home?

    • +1

I've got the 14000 BTU version of the smarter home portable aircon (was in preorder and got a free google home with smart plugs too).

Overall disappointed (mainly due to Google Home integration). I wanted to be able to change temperature etc with my voice through Google home, but I could only get it to turn on/off.

Only good I can see is if you want to turn on you A/C before you get home so that the room is nice and cool, but I never found the need to as of yet seeing as how Summer hasn't really hit here in Syd - besides that heat wave. My opinion could change on it. The schedule feature is something that I'd like to test out too, but would still wait for a day that is hot enough to test on.

As everyone has said, this unit is loud, even in the fan mode but it is still pushes out decent air. Compared to my brothers Honeywell, this Kogan unit does stand far above it in terms of performance and price.

      • So do you think we should save the $80 and get the non-smart one instead?

  • Just bought one (and stacked with my amex offer). Thanks opp

  • When does the frenzy code expire?

  • This might be a stupid question. Would a smaller KW version be more quiet compared to a larger KW .

But I guess also you don’t choose it on that basic. You choose it depending on how big the rooms are.

Also would the air con only versions be better or the reverse cycle?for a cheap model ( I mainly use this for cold only)

    • +1

If you're only using it to cool the room I guess a Air con only is probably more value for your money. You pay more for reverse cycle and you're never gonna heat your room with it.
Unsure about your first question. Who can be unless you have two difference KW options at home to test.

  • Anyone have experience with the split systems? Can't find any reviews online and am looking at the 5.2kw system. Thanks

    • No experience sorry, but looks like a great price with the 20% off

  • Hmm hard to decide. If I should go with the huge 5.2kw 18000btu$699 minus 20% or the 4.1kw 14000btu at $599 minus 20%

The room I am cooling is a 5mX13m approx. but has 3 open doors.

    • If you can close the doors I’d go with the smaller one. Or if you’re like my mum, who says open the doors so the whole house benefits, the bigger the better.

  • Can't use the code - there's no box anywhere in the process for the FRENZAIR now even though the page is still live.

  • Hmm, just got an email saying that they are unable to supply due to "circumstances beyond our control" and are offering a refund. I ordered the 2.9kW air con last week and it's still listed as in stock on their website.

Sounds to me like they're refusing to honor the deal.

    • Sounds like my issue with super cheap auto. I can order it online apparently and pick up at local store but when I’m there they say have no stock. But still list as in stock online.

    • Maybe ask them why they can’t supply it yet it’s dtill in stock on their site

      • Yep I did, they are saying it's out of stock and the website will be updated soon. Weird that it's taking them this long though.

  • Is the code still valid ? I have this message when I fill the discount code field in my cart :
"Sorry, that is not a valid discount code."
