      You want a reason not to buy it (because of your long backlog)? I have a couple:

      • Bought mine for $16 (inc. postage) months ago due to $20 Amazon voucher being applied twice by the Amazon CSR by accident.
      • The low price caused an issue. As much as I enjoyed the game, I haven't finished it (only about 30%). It is still on my pile of shame. I am playing other games which I paid more or wanting to quickly finish so I can sell them. Game Pass subscription expiring so also somewhat forced to play some games on Game Pass.

      RDR2 is the favourite to win GOTY. Both Sony and Microsoft are smart. Their key first party exclusives before the end of the year were released before RDR2: Spiderman and Forza Horizon 4. Based on the effort R* put in to the game, it's hard to see another game winning it in 2018. I agree with Angry Joe's review though, there are some minor annoyances (fast travel being basically one way, too easy to accidentally hit someone, control scheme could be better, and weapons being locked despite clearing having $$$ to buy).

        From all the hype on Spider-Man it was a touch disappointing. Seemed like a Batman Arkham knock off to me. I'm going to get Detroit next. Huge fan of Quantic Dream studios. Heavy Rain is top 10 games of all time for me. Red Dead I'll probably wait a month or two til it drops in price. From a fan vote it seems Spider-Man and Read Dead will fight out GOTY.

    is nba 2k19 packed with micro transactions or is it possible to enjoy it without? I try not to support games with rampant micro transactions as much as possible

      It is possible to enjoy without buying VC (Virtual Currency). That said, VC is pushed more than ever before, depending on the game mode you play.

      If you like online MyCareer, you'll feel the need to buy VC, just so you can be competitive.

      If you prefer offline MyGM, you'll be fine.

    Odyssey for $55 is a no brainer. That's the first game I have ever spent more that 70hrs on. I have completed the Main Story, but still planing to play to will I reach lever 52 (Currently at 42).

    Will get Farcry 5 & Horizon Zero. I have played all the others in the Series and really enjoyed them.

      The weak story and the disjointed way it's shoved down your throat by the game don't lead to the best singleplayer experience. The entire game can be played co-op so I highly suggest playing with a friend, some crazy stuff can happen in this game. For $25 it shouldn't be too hard to convince someone to buy a copy to join ya.

      I thought it was excellent, as long as you enjoy the type of gameplay it offers. Graphics, sounds, story are all top notch. Easily the best David Cage game in my opinion. $29 is a bargain.

      Depends on whether you like David Cage / Quantic Dream games. It's not for everyone. After playing just a bit of Heavy Rain (was free on PS Plus), I know that type of games isn't for me. I tried to even watch a bit of walk through of that game, still not interested.

      I can understand why a lot of people like it. $29 - if you can play the game quickly, even if you don't like it that much, you could sell it.

      With Sony skipping E3 next year it looks like a late 2020 launch for PS5, I think it's worth picking it up with the amazing library now that you can play.

        "What good" is that my local Big W stores never have any stock. Everything is always sold out by the time I get a chance to go there. So price matching (with free delivery) means that I can be guaranteed to get it, and even better with Prime because I don't actually have to physically go to the store.
