Not sure if this was a pricing error, website says 15% off but retail price is usually $1848 ish and it's going for $1498, which is about 19% off. The best price I have seen so far, 19% off for a product that only came out in Oct this year. Probably a pricing error, as the other models are 15% off normal retail price. Dunno if they will fix it, so be quick.

$1500 for a laptop without the keyboard is just too much still. I wish Microsoft would just sell it only with the keyboard or give a discount if bought together. Bought my pro 2016 m3 for $900 with pen and keyboard and that was the perfect price point.

It is 2017 ver whereas i5 is 2018 (6) but still slightly better bargain* (comparison street price wise but probably overpriced on this model still since old i7 still has price point power over current i5) stores have this clearing right now $1800-1999.
Some may prefer the 2018 i5 model though (I haven’t compared the two versions)

it's a pathetic dual core i7 but with superior iris plus 640 iGPU that trumps the 8th gen by a lot in graphics processing.
last gen SP5 with fake i7 which is a measly dual core cpu
cpu power much lacking compared to this powerhouse 4 cores 8 threads 8th gen i5
but that last gen i7 7660u has much superior iGPU featuring iris plus 640 with 64mb edram , good for dota2/lol/csgo

Agreed… it's super hard to justify a $400 step up for that, though it should be noted you cannot upgrade these devices down the track.
