Aren't these usually free in some form?

    • May be if you pay more on some kind of subscription. I'm not aware of getting this under this price in any other current offer.

Same price and you get a phone(barely usable) with it.

        • cool - I have updated the post.

        • phone(barely usable)

You kids today are spoiled. It's 10x better than an early iPhone. Except for the LCD outdoors.

          • @bargaino: That's not an Apple to Apple (pun intended) comparison.

  • free delivery with shipster

Thanks, I've got $20 Goodguys credit to use today…time for a price match!

FYI it's $49 at Officeworks too

    • That's supa, Brudda.

    • Removed..

    • Same here even i got a credit. Will they match the price over phone and process the order with credit? Asking this since stores close early at 5.30 today.

No sure about over the phone. I ended up getting them to price match a Chromecast Ultra ($95) & they said no worries about using concierge credit with a price match.

The other option is buy it online & use their 30day price beat 120% of the difference.
        https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/30-day-price-guarantee

        • Thanks for your prompt reply. The 30 day price guarantee can be claimed but it would come back as a store credit again (ofcourse 120% of price diff around $36 i believe). Do you happen to know the validity of the issued store credit? Cheers

Edit: How much you paid for Chromecast Ultra post price match?

          • +1

@NeverMissABargain: No idea on store credit.

CC Ultra $99=->$95 not big, but a mate is chasing one for Kayo Sports, So $75 isn't too bad.

  • Pretty standard pricing.

A lot of HN post recently but nothing really outstanding? Anyone care to share a worthwhile HN deal?

    • I got the Logitech G910 KB (which I really like, fortunately) for $148. Tried to pricematch it at JB ($249) but they couldn't due to it being a clearance item.

  • I got one free recently. I think Google would need to pay me to use it as the benefits seem to be nearly entirely on their side.

    • Good morning, Appleboat. Your commute time today is 28 minutes.

"Um, yeah thanks Google - it's the same every (profanity) day seeing I go to the same place every (profanity) day at the same time every day. Some days it may be 27, some days 29 minutes - that's just (profanity) life!"

  • I love these things. I got two for free with my Pixel 2 XL and I was super iffy about them at first. I use them all the time now, the year of free youtube premium that came with it is pretty fantastic too!

If you're on the fence about one of these I seriously recommend one, especially for your kitchen. I am always using it for music while cooking and setting timers.

Youtube Premium is free here: https://www.xda-developers.com/youtube-vanced-apk/

Not sure why you'd pay for something that was free, then they added ads and then made you pay. I wouldn't pay someone for doing that.

Not everyone wants to use a modified APK or install Micro-G.

Youtube has always had ads. Always. Yes you can get around it, but being able to play music throughout my house without any workarounds or ads is pretty great.
