eBay Gift Cards stack with eBay vouchers for anyone who doesn't know. There seems to be a limit of approximately $1500 per transaction from my experience.

Sounds like a cookie problem. Try clearing cookies/cache, or just do the transactions in an incognito window.
Just tried and it isn't. Now I'm concerned that I'm not going to be able to get the deal.
Same problem here, phoned paypal just now and they said they are getting a lot of these complaints. Said they would "refresh my account" and try again in 3 hours, but I can't wait that long cause PYIPPEE 15% code will end by then.
Cleared cookies, reboot, relogin to paypal, tried login paypal.com.au and ebay at same time, not using VPN, just won't work. Meanwhile all other items do work just fine.
@pneumatic: Any of you guys get this resolved? I'm having this problem too. Tried multiple paypal accounts and multiple ebay accounts but nothing is working. Managed to buy $500 with my account and then signed up my wife to eBay so she could buy some. But no good. Can't get it to work for her. And can't call PayPal now as they are closed.
@pneumatic: Typical…It's working for me now but the ebay sale has finished. And I missed out on yesterday's sale as I was trying to get this to work.
@Rodo: Ok figured it out, it's only allowing me a quantity of 1 card. Any more than that and I get the PayPal security error.
I wonder if it will let me buy 1 at a time, but 5 times in succession.
The item description says there is a limit of 5 purchases per 10 days (edit: correction, it used to say that, but not any more)
Since I have no way of knowing, I'm risking having to go through the refund rigmarole if it stops working after 1 purchase.
I'm only interested in buying at least 5 of these things :)
@pneumatic: Did you manage to buy any? Now I can't get this to work again. Can't even purchase 1 card. Bugger. Rang Paypal and thy said there was some suspicious activity on my account and they have now taken the flag off so it should be ok but still not working. I have tried different ebay accounts, different paypal accounts, different computers and nothing works.

But max 5 cards, and if I try 6 or more it says in the checkout "The seller only allows buyers to purchase 5 items every 10 days"
So it looks like it took about 3 days after they "refresh your account / take the flag off" for it to work.
If it's still not working after that, well I guess you're stuffed :P
I'm not going to bother with these gift cards, unless you've got some purchase lined up for 20 days from now you'll only save $25.
And in the T&C I found all these tricky conditions like if you use it in conjunction with another code it may not apply all your gift cards but they don't say exactly how it works, and there's some other max limit of how many you can use in one transaction. Last thing I want to do is have to chase them up for a refund of all these cards.
EDIT: Nope! Stopped working again. I think something is bugged with their system because after I changed the quantity the second time (from 6 back to 5) it asked me to log in again and then it asked for a CAPTCHA type code and that's what seemed to trigger it to stop working again. Actually I am going to avoid these gift cards altogether because I'm worried it will break my account or convince PayPal that I'm a fraudster and they might freeze my entire account. I've read horror stories like that where business has been taken out just cause someone flagged their account as suspicious and PayPal just shut you down without recourse because they can.
@pneumatic: Well I've given up now. Spent far too long on this and have not had a favourable outcome.
I succeeded in buying 1 gift card today but that was all I could get. I contacted eBay and PayPal with little success. I managed to get a customer service rep at PayPal to check the transaction when I was making it to see it on their end. They were able to authorise this 1 transaction for 1 git card on their end but then when I tried it again with the remaining 4 gift cards it would not proceed and the rep was unable to authorise it. The system would not allow them to do anything.
I was then told to wait a few hours and try again. 4 hours past and I rang up PayPal just now and spent nearly 1 hour on the phone with them trying to get them to do something and get it to proceed. All to no avail. They said they could do nothing and it was the computer system that locked this transaction out and they cannot override it. Even spoke to a supervisor.
They say things should be back to normal with my account in 72 hours if I don't try to use it in that time. We will see.
Even my wife tried and same result.
So I've given up and made the purchase anyway. Funny that I was able to make a $1000 purchase and use PayPal as the payment method but could not buy a $100 gift card with PayPal. So much for the great security and fraud system PayPal has.
@Rodo: Yep I can also buy other items with PayPal just fine, but not the gift cards (bought Dyson V10 vacuum for $800 delivered - simultaneously a bargain and a ripoff!). I could have got it for $760 if the damn gift cards worked, but they don't, and I tried just like you did but their system is just bugged. Also my PayPal account is "verified", "linked" to my bank account, and "linked" to my mobile phone, so it's not some lack of security points or whatever.
I get the same issue. Ebay is extremely buggy these days. The shopping cart doesn't work at all and various other issues.
Very annoying.

You cannot use 1 gift card for separate eBay account.
Once you use a gift card, the remaining balance of that particular gift card will be tied to the same eBay account.

Not trying to scam but I’d hate to buy a heap for a specific purchase only to find the item wasn’t what I wanted and then I’m stuck with a stack of Ebay Gift cards.

They reissue the cards. I had to get a refund for someone that never bothered fulfilling the order and had to scrounge around to find the old physical gift card after a month.
They don't reissue cards. They refund it back onto the balance of the giftcard and that giftcard stays on the account that you used it on. You don't need to worry about the code as once it's used and if there's still remaining balance on it, it'll stay on the account and you can use it as a form of payment during checkout.

Successfully used 15 or them in one transaction. The card took 6 hours to arrive, so plan ahead.

i still havent received my card, ordered 8:30am this morning
Received my cards, less than 5 minutes after I placed my orders.
Everytime I go to purchase, I enter my paypal details, but it then goes "something went wrong" or, "An error occured." They even locked my account once, until I solved it, but it still won't let me buy. What's going on?
