          • @Ninternet: Thanks Ninternet. I bought a Switch this morning for my kid. Was wondering what games to buy. Your post is very timely, can’t thank you enough. I wasn’t aware that a SD card goes in the Switch. I will buy one today from the deals. What size SD card do you recommend?

Also any other games and tips would be very much appreciated!

            Thank you kindly

            • @ashdays: I personally have a 256gb card but I download a fair amount of large titles. I'd personally go for at least a 128gb card, but bigger is always better with memory

              • @Ninternet: Thanks @Ninternet

Now I’ll have to wait for a deal on a Samsung MicroSD Card. :) :)

Gamesmen eBay seem to have a reasonable selection.

      • Thankyou

  • Anyone know how fast the process click and collect at their store?

  • Gift cards finally came through :) Purchase complete.

    • What time did you buy the gift cards? Just wondering how much longer to wait haha

      • 1:25pm Adelaide time (so 1:55 AEDT) - I was keeping an eye on stock levels!

      • Did the gift cards come through in the end?

        • They arrived, but only after the sale ended so will hope for another good deal in the next few weeks.

  • I dove, was going to hold out til gen 8 Pokemon but LGPE, Zelda, Smash and Odyssey is enough to win me over for the extra year.

    Now for game deals

  • OMG~ I used 4 X 5% off gift card + this code: PYIPPEE, and I saw total price was down to $339.15, but ebay charged me total $399 and they took all my 4 X 5% off gift card ~!!!???

    • You wouldn't see the 5% off because that was a separate deal - you paid $95 for $100 gift card but the gift card was still $100 value.

If you applied the code you paid the $349.15, but (as you're probably seeing) my invoice shows $399. However if you go to buy something else the remaining $60.85 will still be available assigned against your account.

  • …and they're gone.

    • At 6PM I saw "452 sold in one hour"!

    • Currently showing as 2 available…

      • And gone again lol

  • back, but price up to 441.95 on the switches now

    • And free shipping has been removed, so $452.71 total.

      Wtf?

  • Was just about to buy. With the price jack Not now. Try my luck with amazon tomorrow.

    • We will probably see that sold in the last hour start dropping now

  • GUYS I CAUGHT THE DEAL JUST IN TIME!!!! well technically…

So what happened is that I inputted the "PYIPPEE" code on my iPad, and went and got the money into my account, but then it said "Seller has changed something"
and the seller changed the price from 339 back to $434 or something, but because my code was already input I somehow got it for $389!!!!

All I will say is Thank the Lord. I've been waiting to get this, and now it's on its way, its surreal.

Hope everyone has a great night!

    • $389? That’s expensive

      • Yeah I know but i'm still happy with the price compared to Local stores (Eb Games, Target, JB HI-FI, Big W) and it even beats the Amazon Price which is $398.

  • Wow… I just saw. Why is my luck so bad, because I literally did my research on all the stores and only when I purchase the product, is when it gets cheaper at a local store WITH a game included.. Now i Have to go through the returns process, cause the JB Hi-Fi deal is a great deal.

Talk to eBay chat first, their price guarantee could possibly be applicable

You can try and get them to price match Amazon's flash deal of $329. Or try and return it?

ETA: A few people managed to match it on the Amazon post with no trouble.

    • Definitely speak to ebay price match, this morning if you can while neon switch is still in stock at cheap price. They price matched for me.

    • Chatting with eBay for price guarantee.
They're claiming the link to the Amazon.com.au item shows the price at $499.85.
      WTF?

      • You need to go through the flash deals link but even then it should be only $389.

      • eBay Chat was no use, but got them to phone me, and managed to get $26.60 voucher.

  • Does anyone know how warranty works? Is it even covered, and if it is would I go to eBay or The Gamesmen? Sorry for the obvious question :)

I brought one of these yesterday and got eBay to price match JB-HiFi this morning, which gave me a $29 eBay credit… FYI.

I tried getting them to match Amazon deal, but they don't accept the lightning deals apparently (despite being in stock when talking to them), and for whatever reason the dollar amount which showed up on the link I gave them was different to what I saw. They accepted JB-HiFi link without question tho

Cheapest switch purchase ever as I got the gift cards for extra $15 off, and now $29 credit making it $295 purchase for me!

  • I have just received a few games from amazon Australia..2 of them are not sealed..where as other 2 are is this normal and acceptable?

    • +1

Yeah… Odyssey is unsealed and Mario kart is sealed for me.
