Shopback is capped at $50 cashback i believe

  • Specs are fantastic for a $600+ laptop. Why would you ever want to buy a higher speced Windows laptop for less?

    • Because:
      a) this has ChromeOS which is heaps better than Windows
      b) this is the same build quality as a MacBook.

      • +1

I have this exact model, the build quality is nothing like the MacBook. Everything but the bottom and the lid is plastic. That being said you can't get a better built laptop with the same screen for the price.

        • Agreed. Build quality is not like a MacBook. Still good value/price.

However.. keyboard has a persistent spacebar, speakers are a little average, and battery life doesn't appear to be the best when putting it to sleep - finding myself shutting it down to conserve battery which isn't the worst as it has such a fast boot up.

          • @passwordistaco: I find the speakers to be exactly that. Useable but not remarkable. The display at the price is great but it just doesn't stand up to anything more expensive, Esp when compared to an xps :(. I just wish the brightness was more uniform.

I totally agree chrome os is way better I am using it although they can improve on file management.

  • Totally worth it. Excellent for work and play. I use it for remote support with Citrix.

  • Anyone know if this item is eligible for TRS?

I've got the C213. It's this one's less capable sibling. Still good though. Got that one for about $400. Love it. Now that these things run Android and Linux apps, it's amazing value. I have yet to try Steam on it. They should put more storage on it.

C213 is one of my favorites ;) .. cheap, tough and efficient

      • That's right. I forgot why I chose it over the C302 in the first place. I have a small child and mine is particularly destructive. Being a tough little laptop, I don't mind throwing it into my bag without a case on it too.

  • My son needs a Chromebook for school next year. If anyone sees a good price for it again please let me know
