Office 365 Personal (Digital Only) - $79 (RRP $99) @ JorgensenIT

154

G'day all!

Just started myself an online store for my little IT consulting service, figured the fine people of Ozbargain might like some cheap MS Office subscriptions. These are digital only, you'll be emailed a code after your purchase has been processed. Just a heads up, you'll need a Live ID (Microsoft Account) to activate the product.

Any questions, please, feel free to reach out. Feel free to check out more products at http://it.jorgensen.online/store

EDIT: For those looking for the Home 5 user pack, deal is here: https://it.jorgensen.online/store/product/microsoft-office-3…

I usually pay about this each year for Office 365 Home, which includes 5x subscriptions.

    • Interesting! Cheapest I could do on Home would be $99.

Here's the link to that one if you did want to check it out: https://it.jorgensen.online/store/product/microsoft-office-3…

Prices may have gone up. My most recent renewal was $86 from Bing Lee mid-year, but that was with an eBay promo code.

Not everyone needs a family deal though, so good luck.

        • Yeah, they seem to inflate a bit each year. RRP keeps going up, but figured some might be keen to snag some deals!

How long is this subscription for?

    • 12 months :)

Not the right time for renewal for me, but good luck with the launch!

  • $96 at Bing Lee and you can take that to Officeworks and pick it up
for $91.20 for price beat guarantee…

Not sure if this is an outdated deal but you should be receiving 6 independent logins now.

    • AFAIK Office 365 Home as always been five users.

Must be a different SKU Bing Lee are selling, I've not seen that version. Good deal though! I'm just too lazy to go shopping, and there are no Officeworks near me :)

SaveOnIT $65 for Personal and $89 for Home.

    • They are quite literally selling below cost - in fact I'm pretty sure they're paying $2 a pop for you to buy from them! Good value if you can get it.

      • +2

I’ve been buying my Office 365 Home sub from SaveonIt since 2015 with no problems.

        • Yep, they're a reputable seller, that's for sure! Only problem is they're a distributor with a public facing shopfront, so they can likely do things a little bit cheaper than me. Fortunately, there's always a little more room for some competition :)

          • @krisjjorgensen: Sorry, I don't mean to be rude (and I haven't negged the deal), but I don't get it. Your price isn't competitive?

            • @bxpressiv: Not rude at all mate, I completely understand. When posting the deal, I didn't realise that SaveOnIT were having a sale and dropped their price so much. Still, people are taking up the offer, so obviously I'm at least a little bit competitive! I still think it's a good price, especially compared to RRP.

Yeah, but I know these codes come from Microsoft and aren't going to be deactivated at some point. I just don't trust eBay code sellers.

      • -6

It sounds like you're doing the same thing as the ebay sellers, buying the 5 pack and separating them but selling them for a large markup

        • +6

Just FYI - that's not how they work. The 5 pack is only one code. That code is activated on one account, then other users are added as part of the "family". There are not 5 codes to resell on.

I'm offended by your accusation, sir!

      • -1

yeah but I don't know who you are. So what you know doesn't mean anything to me.
They ebay ones are all legitimate. They are OEM codes, also coming from MS
I have been using them for years, never been deactivated.
I am sure you know better than me

        • +2

OEM codes are supposed to only be supplied with hardware, like when you buy a new PC or something. So technically the seller is breaking the terms of their licencing agreement, and you as the purchaser don't have a valid licence. But you're correct, in that context Microsoft are unlikely to terminate that service.

          • +2

@krisjjorgensen: These codes are not like lifetime like window keys anyways, also if one get de-activated getting a new key from new seller will still cost less.

I mean sure, spend more for piece of mind or go use open office for free …

For most people who uses office products can get it free from their work/school anyways. Most consumer can live with open office or one alternative office products.

            • @[Deactivated]: Real open-source enthusiasts use LibreOffice mate ;)

But you're very right, there are plenty of open-source or free options out there! The only stickler I find for most people is Outlook, try as they might there just isn't a realistic competitor to the behemoth that is Outlook (Exchange compatibility is a big deal in this space).

And you're always going to get the people that are just more comfortable with MS Office, since they've been using it forever. Agreed that the "use-at-home" type program MS does with big business is excellent, but not tenable for smaller companies.

    • What's this mean sorry?

Yes, those are all for retail boxes where you'd need to wait for the item to be shipped to you, and likely pay for shipping, which would put you over $99. This product is for a digital code, direct from my supplier to you - no waiting! So you can get in so much more word processing and excel spreadsheeting!

MS Office 365 Home 1 Yr Subscription $78

        $74 price match @ officeworks

        • -1

Again, boxed codes, which you'd have to either find in store, or wait for shipping. Also that was a Black Friday deal, and it's expired. You're welcome to purchase if you have access to a time machine though.

Damn I missed that because of the way it was listed. My alerts wouldnt pick it up. Hopefully, will come again before renewal time

Thanks mate, been discussed above. Crazy good value!

  • +2

Well if its cheaper elsewhere its not a deal… not sure why you're still trying to promote your product here. We're here for bargains, not your business promoion !
Beat saveonit price and offer a real deal

    • I'm sorry you feel that way mate. Hopefully you find the deal you're looking for sometime :)

    • It might not be the best of the best deal around but that's still a nice price compared to retail (which I assume is the point).
      Most of my customers walk into our shop going I just picked up 365 personal from XYZ shop for $99 thinking they got a bargain.. {face palm}

      • +1

nice price compared to retail (which I assume is the point

Not really. Imo, only a deal if cheaper than cheapest normal (not sale) price. The SaveOnIT price is their normal price and is cheaper - no reason OP should be able to post their product instead of SaveOnIT's price being posted daily.
