I've heard the pokeball plus is largely useless

    • +6

It might be useless but that's what the kids want…. At least mine….. (And me secretly). 😀

    • +1

If you want mew, this is the only way to get it at the moment.

    • +4

I quite enjoy using it. Works well for catching Pokemon, menu navigation can be a bit tricky sometimes.

Me to, I love it, its gimicky and not needed at all but it really added to the game for me. Its probably one of my most fav accessory for a video game.

    • I havent found a good practical use for it for the price besides Mew

      • +3

Useful if you also play Pokemon Go.

        • Better than the Go plus with the auto spin on PokeStops, great for stocking up on items.

          • +1

@sss333: and auto-catch with a little trick as well.

      Become the ultimate Pokemon Master

You can connect up to 6 to your game, and store your party Pokemon in each ball.

  • Darn, already bought Pokemon Let's go and love it. I guess it's a bit much to spend just to get mew haha.

    • They do sell the Pokeball Plus separately, but you'll be paying more for it.

      • Pretty much. If I bought it I'd just flog the game for a discount price, but probably not worth the hassle.

        • You could always keep the other copy (ie. if you have Pikachu, then get Eevee or vise-visa)

  • Amazon price match gods respond plz

    • +17

Support the businesses that do the price cut in the first place.

I’m stacking with other purchases for TRS. Everyone has their reasons.

      • There should be more of this 👆

      • Generally I'd agree, but BIGW has left me high and dry…

      • Leaving the fact that loyalty towards any particular major corporation is a weird concept to me aside, is choosing the place that drops the price first even really the 'right' thing to do?

If you have Store A who decides to have sales whenever they feel like it and always set their own prices, and Store B who will match whatever the best-going price is at the time.. why is supporting Store A better than Store B?

        • +6

Because without store A, store B would never sell at a lower price in the first place

          • @Carbon Door: Big W's prices are usually competitive, but just as an example:

What if Store A's price is higher than store B's price to start with. There might never be a 'sale'.

            Chicken and Egg?

            • @aragornelessar: Then you buy from whatever store gives you the lowest price you are willing to pay for goods and services. If Store A is selling higher then why not reverse the order and make store A, Store B and Store B to Store A and you get the same answer

        • +1

No one is talking about loyalty.

But Amazon in Australia aren't exactly price setters like they made out they were going to be.

But as others have said, without Store A having a sale, Store B may never lower their prices.

Appears that only the Eevee Bundle is in stock at Amazon AU.

  • Good deal, but be wary when ordering online. I did order their last deal online and 3 days later my order got dead cold canceled & refunded due to having no stock.

It sucks because I lost the opportunity to price match elsewhere when their system was still showing as having in stock.

    • I was concerned about this with the recent Mario party Bundle, so I just went to the store instead and bought one of 5 copies they had left at my local. Later that night the website showed out of stock. Lucky.

Edit: oh you were talking about the same game, only clicked the link after I read your comment.

  • And Amazon AU has price matched (no stock for Pikachu)

  • Anyone price match at JB hifi? looking to get this tomorrow when I pickup smash bros too.

    • It from an actual retail store, so I don't see why they would refuse price match.

  • Currently reliving the GB Pokemon Yellow magic with this game. All I ever wanted was to be able to fly around on the back of a Charizard in a pokemon game, and this game lets you do just that.

Pokeball plus is a hit and miss depending on who's using it. I like that it acts as a controller for the game, and I leave it in my pocket when I go for a jog and come home to ~15k XP for whichever pokemon I put in the pokeball plus. But I can see how some people will not find alot of use for it.

    • How big is the pokeball? I havent really followed the ins and out of this release

      • +1

Slightly bigger than a table tennis ball.

        • That's much smaller than I thought it'd be! Kinda imagine'd it like a proper tennis ball size for some reason

  • Got it today. I find the pokeball fun to play with.

  • I slept on this for too long, Big W website now showing this bundle as $109

    • Did you end up getting a unit? I have a spare unopened I can give you for 99 if you're in Melbourne. I can give you the receipt.
