Purchased two driver bit sets (Kongo) for about $17 few days back. This Dewalt 100 pieces drill driver set definitely beats that. Pretty good price for trusted brand IMHO.

Damn, holesaw and plenty of well used phillips spares as well. Getting one for sure, thanks mate!

  • +2

It's been this price for a couple of months now. Down from $40.

    • +14

Thanks, now more of us know and can buy it.

Unless you wanted to keep it secret?! Haha

      • +3

In mite's defence I also saw this and didn't think "bargain" just good value for the brand it seems.

      • +2

Heh. Yep. Still good find no doubt. It was also just to let others know… but I see from the later comments, there are some you just can't help.

    • +4

So not much of an OzBargain then?

      • +1

How about 12.5% discount right now?
Or 14.3% more when price goes to that mark again? Still not a bargain? Just saying mate :)

  • metric or imperial?

  • Nice!

I've already got enough drill bits and screwdriver bits. Wish they marked down on their Kincrome 13 piece screwdriver set. Always wanted to get a high quality screwdriver set, but they never seem to go on sale!

    • +4

Wouldn't really class kincrome as high quality. Look at Wiha or Wera or other german made brands on ebay, much cheaper than these and superb quality pieces!

      • +1

Amazon.de used to be the go but is no longer an option unfortunately.

      • I haven't found any wera set that goes up to Philips #3? Can you give me some directions? Thanks!

  • +1

I hear there's a 250 piece Ryobi set which is out in some stores for around $50-$60.. if you want something more, maybe wait for this.

    • All the Ryobi ones I've seen have been imperial though.

    • I won't bother unless it's at least 600 pieces.

      • +18

599 of those pieces will be cable ties

        • That one will never get old haha.

  • Any idea what bits these are? HSS and masonry?

    • -1

      HSS=High speed steel
      Masonry is stone

    • +1

Looking at the picture half the drill bits are for steel/timber the other half masonry.

    • Yep just those two.

    • +1

looks like both, what I cant see from the image is if the masonry bits are sds, bunnings descriptions are totally useless at times.

      • +4

These will only be standard shank, as an sds plus 10mm shank wouldn't fit in that base, judging by the size of other bits there.

      • Of course they’re useless. They’ve wanna get you into the store somehow…

  • +2

Always thought these were generic and DeWalt just licence out the brand

    • +2

They dont tend to be great quality these sorta kits. Dewalt 25pc Philip's tips are poor as well

  • +3

    how is the quality?

    • Same question here. If they aren't much better than the basic Ryobi kit then I'll just keep using those (which I got for free in a promo) for these occasional household jobs.

Shame I thought DW were a decent brand even at their budget end.

  • Is this in store only? Only allowing me to add to wish list.. how do I actually buy?

    • I got in store. These are on specials.
Heaps there in Hoppers Crossing store but three gentlemen got this right away in front of me.

    • Bunnings don't have click and collect

      • Bunnings does have C&C, but not for everything. There was a Stanley socket set deal that was posted here about two weeks ago, and it was C&C deal as I purchased a set from that deal myself, and picked it up yesterday.

        • That's a special order, they don't have click and collect in the sense that you cant buy things that are on site to be collected for you.

          • @CaptainNewspeak: Ah! I stand corrected then. A staff member that I asked where to collect online order pointed me towards the "special order" desk yesterday, although there was a big sign saying "Click and Collect" over the special order desk as well. Hope they'll embrace C&C like many other businesses these days, as that would make it easy for all involved.

    What's the standard price?

    • +2

      Did you read the comments?

      • -1

Could have been a helpful cant and told him

        Usually $40

        • +5

There's being helpful and there's encouraging people to be lazy.

It's the second comment! Would've taken less time to find out than writing a comment asking someone else.

  • -3

What is the normal price at Bunnings?

  • They’re not cheap, but if you can, get Cobalt bits as they’re pretty well, IMO, the better type for metal and most materials. This would be a great set for someone who needs a bit of everything. Nice find OP.

    • the better type for metal

We prefer the softer bits. This reduces stripped screws.

  • Just a naive question. Will they work with Ozito Power X drill?

    • +6

Yes it'll work in any drill.

  • +6

    There’s a Craftright set for only…

    I’ll see myself out…

    • Don't forget to do an actually silly walk

  • Will this work with impact drills?

    • sure do i picked some up for mine, better quality than the cheap-ass ones you won't chew through them at fast

  • +1

With these kind of stuff, you pay what you get. In other words, high quality tools are never the cheap ones.

The cheap tools don't last and make the jobs harder.

  • +1

Just don't expect some high quality kit. Half of mine are destroyed after being used for around a year. You get what you pay at the end of the day.

  • Thanks op, I will be going into Bunnings tomorrow to buy this, Dads Xmas present is now sorted ;) Anyone know why Bunnings are not doing online sales for items?

    • these bits are better quality you won't chew through them as fast.

currently doing home renos and had originally just been buying the cheaper ones, but found the tips just wear out fast with the impact driver

      • These meaning which one?

        • +1

These ones means: the item this page/deal was about.

These would be better than Ryobi, but as said above, not as good as buying better brand individual sets. e.g. Sutton hole saws, Irwin drill bits, etc.

  • no need to leave home, just keep them shopping channels on

  • +1

Thanks Op. Bought one. May be not the best quality but a useful combo nevertheless.

  • When I first glanced, I thought this was a drill .. too cheap even for OZB but regardless, anyone have a good line on good/cheap cordless drills at the moment?

  • I got the Ozito Power X Change Compact Drill Driver Kit with 71 Accessories from this deal late last year and wonder if this Dewalt drill/driver bits set will be much of an upgrade (except some of the differences in bits).

  • +1

    Plenty at castle hill

Not in the tool section but the trade table back left corner behind the timber

  • Got one, thanks OP. Now I just need to buy a drill/driver. :P
