Don't let the "TV-a-fools" convince you that you need to spend $2000 or more. Most normal people will not notice any difference to a Samsung, LG, etc. It's a TV FFS, not a mission critical device

  • Big W and TV's… wouldn't waste my money

I think the down votes are a bit harsh. Gotta remember some people know enough to want a 4k big tv but not enough to know good quality.

When you click on specifications you get:

      Brand: Viano & Article number…… That's it.

It's a bargain if you don't care about or can't see quality. But other than that - save your money.

  • Any good?

    • +3

      No.

    • Does the job for my room tv for last 2 year

    • I read that the speakers are complete rubbish, but the panel is good.

      • Probably the same as Linden TVs. Just need to adjust the sound and they are great in any secondary room. I just wouldn't want one as my main TV.

So Chroma 4:4:4 and Dolby Vision compatible with 200mhz refresh rate and 2000 NITS? Assume upscaling is best in class.

      Don't forget 3x HDML ports.

I have a cheap Soniq 4K 65" that was bought for around the same price a year ago. I think anyone considering a cheap big screen needs to get realistic on what it is you are actually buying. Forget about decent sound, and forget about comparing it to a current or 2nd gen Samsung or LG panel. Even forget about a remote that responds quickly!

I have my Soniq cheapy, and for the money I've been flat out 100% happy with it. It has its shortcomings, but it replaced the family room TV and has done very well considering the limited funds put into it.

What I'm trying to say not very well, is that with big cheap TV's like this… EXPECT sub quality when you compare it to other TV's. Hand over your $600-700 and just go with it. If you want bells and whistles and perfect colour balance, this is NOT the TV you are looking for.

A 65" 4K for under $700?!? Perfectly acceptable. Have a quick look in store to ensure the image is "ok" and then open your wallet and hand it over.

I can tell you right now, my very next TV purchase will be a sub $1000 75" ;).
I'll put the 65" in the rumpus for the kids, and the 75" will be the "upgrade".

I've never experienced such a worry-free major appliance before! You just don't give a crap! I pump the Foxtel through it so the only time I have to pick up the crappy remote is to turn it on, and then it's great. HD movies and sport, with all audio through either the sound bar or the full speaker setup. Terrific.

I know nothing of this TV the OP is selling. All I'm saying is for a cheap Christmas upgrade, I seriously have no issues with cheap TV's anymore. I used to buy TV's that were worth more than a car! No more.

  • I got the 70 inch from the last sale (for $900 with friends wollies discount card). And I must say the panel is really good. The "smart" part of the TV is pretty useless also you might want to add some speakers. I already had Bose speakers so that was not an additional expense for me and I bought vodafone TV on the recent sale.

I would recommend this TV as the panel is good and also its matte so you can actually watch the TV without having to constantly pull all the curtains (at my sisters place the TV reflects so much light that you cannot watch during the day without pulling curtains).

    Youtube lags pretty bad though.

  • I had a Viano HD TV from few years back. Great value for money. Now my Mum has it and loves it!

I have a Kogan 4K TV and Samsung 4K Tv. I prefer the picture on the Kogan (based on Picture quality and cost)

I have Viano 55" from a deal about 2 years ago. It's been very good, the picture is perfectly fine. My kid plays Fifa and Battlefield Siege FPS on it, and has zero lag or problems.

    • Haha Thanks added to descrip!

  • Can I know if this VIANO TV have wifi module? I like a TV to connect to ADSL router and see youtube.

    Thank you very much.

    • From the specs, it doesn't look like it but you may be able to use a WiFi bridge, or similar, to provide WiFi access via the Ethernet port.

    • Got one today and yes it has wifi.
