    Thanks purchased.
Live in country S.A so the free postage is good !

This is a great microwave in terms of performance…only downside is the annoying tune it plays when it's finished, rather than the traditional beeps. Probably won't annoy most people though.

    • Looks good. The other variant from GG has the dial. Is it annoying having to open the door to set programs etc on this one? or is it not really an issue?

      • +2

Well to be honest, I rarely use the programs - I just usually set time….and in that sense it's very easy - just slide right to add time and press start.

      • +1

You only need to open the door for the programmed features such as melt/defrost/specialty; normal start/stop/time functions can be done from the outside of the front door

You'd have to open the door to put the food in anyway…

Lol our LG washing machine does this, and it's now brainwashed me to sing along.

It's easier to just give in :p

      • +16

Our Samsung washing machine does the same.

I think it is just celebrating that it hasn't exploded.

        • The fires were just an undocumented 'dryer' function overclocked too far.

I have a Samsung washer and it deff sings and not just let out a brief jingle lol

    • @placard. Do you ever cook dishes that require a long time in the microwave i.e. more than 10 minutes. If so, have you noticed that the microwave cabinet itself gets very hot. I've noticed that my LG neochef seems to get weaker when it gets hot (tested by how long it takes to boil a cup of water). Is this an LG issue or related to inverter microwaves? Otherwise I suspect it struggles with continuous use in a way I've not seen in any other microwave.

      • +1

@constipated That's pretty standard for inverter microwaves.

    • +2

I might be weird but I actually enjoy the little jingle at the end. I think its cute.

      • Must be a Korean appliance thing, Samsung does it too

      • Same here lol, it's always a talking point when people come over to our place for dinner!

    • +1

I came straight here to see if this was a jingle-enabled model. In our open plan office this thing absolutely drove me insane.

    • If you don't open the door after it finishes, does it play the tune again or stay quiet? I want one that doesn't keep beeping at me. To me this is the most important feature of a microwave.

      • Only plays it once.

The tune goes for around 9 minutes 23sec ;)

  • Thanks for posting. Looks to be delivery only - no store pickup. Does Myer use Aussie Post for deliveries. Wondering whether to have this baby shipped to Parcel Locker or not. Thanks

    • +1

My limited prior experiences with Myer suggest that they do use the Aussie Post for deliveries. But my last delivery order from them was March this year so take this with a grain of salt…

    • +1

Myer uses Aust Post for their delivery. If you are concern you could allocated the parcel to one of the Aust Post and pick it up from there when you receive tracking number.

    • Thanks all - I ended up making a purchase prior to getting some shuteye last night anyway - and did direct it to the Parcel Locker. Will see how it goes. And if the box is too big they just hold it in the post office anyway. Given Myer is a shipster partner I know they do use Aussie Post - just not sure if it's their only courier service. Will see how it goes!

    Thanks OP!

I bought the 25L version. I don't have enough clearance in my kitchen for the 42L (sadly), but my infrequent use of a microwave and tendency to do simple short heat-ups means this suits me. It was $151.

Something to note; these versions have the white sides and top (not all black).

  • +1

Thanks, been waiting for another deal on this microwave. Good Guys don't have the version with white top and sides which suits us better - brought!

  • +1

Great Deal OP. Shame it's not the black side version.

    • It can be with some black paint!

  • Is it true, for safety, I should replace my microwave every 5 years?

    • +9

You should replace it every few deals

    • Pfft, more like 10-20 yrs

      • Apparently 10 years.
        https://www.thekitchn.com/6-signs-its-time-to-replace-your-m…

If it leaks, then you may get weird cancer, or grow a third nipple.

        • +1

What a load of shit that site is, if the metal interior hasn't rusted through and the door is intact there is no need to replace.

        • Already got a third nipple, so 20 years it is.

    • No it isn't.

Your microwave uses the same frequency as wifi so if it leaks is only leaking what you are already exposed to on a daily basis.

  • Anyone have experience with this and wifi interruption? Our current microwave kills our internet when used.

    • I do notice the Bluetooth connection is weak when I use this one.

    • Yes! My wireless speakers in the kitchen konk out while it's on. My main internet router is in our loungeroom and I don't think it affects the entire wifi signal though

    • As microwaves and wifi use the same radio frequency it will ways cause an impact.

You could try a Faraday cage for the microwave if it's a real issue.

If your router is near the microwave, move it away

    • Absolutely kills my Bluetooth connection to my headphones, very annoying! (Beats X, Apple Airpods)
I like the microwave other than that..

What is the benefit of this over such, a train, which I could also afford?

    • This device heats things, whereas a train gets you from A to B.

      • My train also makes heat so I haven't purchased a microwave.

Getting from a to b is a bonus

  • Ordered one 2 weeks ago when it was on sale and payed 220 so this is a great price!

  • Is this model better than the GG one that was $179?

    • Fairly sure they are the same but one has dial other doesnt

      • Yea looks that way, thanks for the reply

  • Mum wants an electric frypan for christmas and I've been comparing the sale prices of Myer to the rest and they're still so much dearer even at 20% off :\

    Back in stock!

Have added to cart and discount still works.

  • Its a nice sleek looking microwave and works well. I the full black model over a year ago at Harvey Norman for the same price.

  • does it have a turntable? I prefer one that does not require a turntable

  • Anyone else had a delay on their order while Myer looks for stock?!

  • Just cancelled my order on the day it said it was to be delivered. Whats going on with that???? Unbelievable, needed this as was replacing a dead unit. Thanks for wasting my time Myer

    • Don't worry mate - my order has been cancelled also. Gotta wonder why they kept on selling the item for at least another 12+ hours after my purchase, yet still couldn't fulfill my order. They didn't even contact me - just refunded me. It's a sinking retail ship either way, unfortunately…

  • I just got a email saying cancelled also. Purchased soon after deal was posted. Hopeless
