The Perfect Stocking Stuffer!

I run a small store on Amazon and just thought I'd announce that I'm doing some massive sales in the lead up to Christmas - the biggest savings for those who get in first; 60%, then 50% then 40% off! Last week we ran a 60% off sale!! This week is a 50% off sale in the lead up to Christmas - grab a bargain whilst they're still heavily discounted. Next week will be 40% so get in quick!!

The offer is $9.99 for a travel set of nail clippers, tweezers and a crystal nail file. They come in their own neat carry case; can be used as a nice little presentation case for someone's Christmas present or as a stocking stuffer.

Again, I can only hold the offer whilst I have enough stocks and can't extend this if I run out, sorry!! This isn't being sold anywhere else cheaper - or at all! Thank you for supporting our little Aussie start-up here in Brissie! Have a great Christmas all!

Seems expensive for what you get…

Didn't you just post about that last week?

Basically they are increasing the price each week and trying to claim that makes it a bargain..

" I'm doing a 60% off sale for this week only! Next week will be a 50% off sale and the following week 40% - so get in while it's hot!"

      Price increases are NOT bargains.

  • -ve vote because it was $2 cheaper last week…

  • Did anyone get one last week and can comment on the quality? I have a set of these from gearbest and they are terrible to use :(

  • Negging because it was cheaper last week and still doesn’t seem good value.

Seems harsh but I respect your viewpoint. That wasn't the intention at all. In all honesty, I'm used to selling at small markets where the prices change every time you're out there - I've seen other sellers change it during the day - both up and down! Still, I wanted to do a 40% off sale as I'm starting up, but a fellow seller said to do it at 60% > 50% > 40% so that those who get in earlier get a bargain. I understood it because I used to hate it when I went to a shop and saw something cheaper than I'd bloody bought it for!! (Thanks JBHifi!) This avoid that problem. Or so I thought! Apologies that you've been upset by this jv.

      I'm not upset.

Just calling it as I see it…

I think the problem is that ozbargain is community who looks for bargains, ozbargain is not a marketplace for items. So the community here is going to be far blunter on representatives of companies who try to treat it as the latter. You got a really good response last week when you posted your item, but when you tout it a week later at a higher price I think you're stepping into the realms of treating it as a place to market your wares.

It's like you did a Google Translate from 'jv' to 'adam'

    • We come here for bargains. We do not come here for price increases. You need to take OzBargain seriously.

  • Can you sell a small quantity at the same price you sold it for last week?

    • user name checks out…

  • Thanks for your replies Adam & jv - very helpful explanations.
