Spotify Gift Cards 15% off @ Target

250

I went to my local Target store in Canberra and saw Spotify gift card was on sale. 15% off. Bought 2 x 6 months gift cards which cost me $122.40 and went to Spotify.com/redeem to redeem both of them together for one year subscription.

Each Spotify gift card is valid for 3 years from purchased date.

  • Is it sub time or $ amount? I'm on family

Hmm. I see no foreseeable future that doesn't have me paying for Spotify so I really should do this also. Cheers OP.

    • I remember swearing I wouldn't pay for Spotify but it's been a year now and it's embedded itself in my life so deeply.

  • What are the current full prices for these gift cards? Does the cost differ from store to store?

Full price for the Spotify gift cards just the face value. 6 months is $72 and 3 months is $36.

I am not sure if Target runs the promotion nationally or selected stores, but you can give your local Target a call to find out.

I checked their website, they do not have such promotion online though.

I thought Spotify was cheaper. Suddenly I'm put off trying it.

    • Post in Classifieds that you're looking to join a Spotify family group. I've been in one for 3 years now, all OzBargain people (run by a bloke in Perth who I have never met), I simply send $36 each year via Paypal and get unlimited premium access.

  • How does it work if we have overseas account? Can we redeem the voucher in our account and then get charged according to whatever our plan is, ie the overseas price?

  • I’m just on the free, I keep getting ads for $11.99 for 3 months premium.

  • Try and setup a Spotify premium family account in the Philippines if you can. Much cheaper.

But can we "recharge" our account using AU gift card?

    • how does it work? Just use a vpn or something and buy premium? Are there any negatives? Am I going to get less song selection (only ones licensed in the Philippines?) or different language charts and playlist recommendations? Do I need to make a new account in the Philippines to do this or can I stay on my current one (I have been premium in aus and it is linked to my fb)?
