Man if this was just sub $3,000 I would have to throw money at this.

    I'm still hoping for a sub $1,900 55" C8 as well!

    • Yeah…so close for me… so tempting…

    • next year they will. I was thinking about dropping 3k on a TV…..then went to JB decided on a cheap tcl QLED for half this price, OLED has really good black but unless you in a darkroom ….you can't really tell much of difference. The screen burn worried me as i play same RPG game alot on PS4 for hours at times. when OLED drop to sub 2k then maybe i'll pick one up.

      • Yeah, I took that 65” af8 offer from Ebgames. Now I am in the deliema as to wether I should keep it in the living room as a TV or move to my room as a Game Dispaly. I also play only RPGs and I am worried about the HUDs burning in. Argh..

I gotta say, that i'll only have time to watch movies/shows on it at night time. So a dark room will not be a problem. I always find this a funny thing when people talk about OLED, do people only watch stuff in the middle of the day with all the blinds open???

Screen burn in isn't a issue unless you only use the TV for gaming and you play a game from when you get the TV for 100 hours straight ;)

I don’t think it will go any further down than this for a while. But, when you are ready to invest $3000 for an experience, an extra $200 for enjoying it 3-4 months sooner is no brainer, I believe. Treat yourself. You worked hard this year. :)

You worked hard this year. :)

        I didn’t.

"the best price I've seen yet, although slightly more than the last deal from TGG". Hmmm. OP mustn't have seen the last deal from TGG????

    • +1

Lol yep. That'll teach me for writing in train of thought. I saw tgg only after finding this deal. So was the best I'd seen at time of finding :)

Thanks OP, I missed out on the previous deal so I’m very happy to see this! My new tv is on its way!

  • Wasn't the TGG deal a B8? Would jump but already purchased: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/423961

  • I've got the 65" C7, you will not be disappointed, especially for this price.

  • I have a KDL55W800B atm

Don't really need another TV but I would love to to buy this and give my mother my old one…

If anyone plans to console game on an OLED and is willing to wait a bit longer, I recommend waiting until at least late 2019 when HDMI 2.1 and/or Variable Refresh Rate become standard. Games which run at 4K at 30FPS like Red Dead Redemption 2 & God of War will look a lot better (especially with fast camera panning), and the TV will be that much more future-proofed with the other improvements HDMI 2.1 brings.

There's a good chance that full hdmi2.1 won't make it for the 2019 models by the looks of things, though I really hope so.

    • I'm all over the new range when that happens. It's also likely that 4K @ 120Hz will also be possible since these panels can do it already internally, it's just that the current HDMI standard doesn't have the bandwidth for it.

I use my 55" C7 with my gaming PC at 1080p 120Hz sometimes.

    Bought one, Thanks op

Holding out hoping it will be cheaper come Boxing Day. Fingers crossed !

  • I bought the 55" version looks amazing with ps4 pro and xbox one x, dunno if you get a frame hit with 65" though

    • Same resolution so wouldn't affect frame rate.

  • When I go through to the tracking details with the shipping company for my order it says "shipment has been cancelled", but no word from appliance central. Anyone else?

  • I'm sorry but how does this come down to 3199? all i see is 3999 on ebay. is there like a some sort of trick?

    • Apply the code in the post when you go to check out (immediately before entering your payment details if I remember correctly).

  • Sweet will order tomorrow unless I can get JB to price match and I can take direct home
    My 55 is to small

  • Or guess not anymore me know where any c8s might be left
