    Lowest price ever?

  • +3

Thanks BA, have been watching this since I missed out on the last code,

  • +4

Can you leave these in the car, or will the heat of a 40 degree summer day cause them to die?

    • +3

      or explode?

    • Best to leave at home then get a tow and jump it at home…

Seriously I would like to know as well… I would imagine if you found a reasonably coolish spot like under the seat maybe they would be fine.

      • And they won't be charged when you need them? Isn't it easier to leave a good pair of jumper leads in the car?

    • +4

I've wondered that too. 'Rated' in the description to 140F which is 60C but the inside temp of a car on a 40 degree day will be higher than that. More worried about it exploding than anything else

    • They may be stored under the floor mat on the passenger side. We've an Xiaomi power bank on the passenger side that powers an a119s.

    • It will be fine not in direct sunlight even out of the carry case.
The biggest danger is charging them when the unit is hot or charging/using when it's frozen.

  • I want $57.99 like last last time. Thanks for the deal nonetheless

You're welcome mate.. yeah, I remember that one. It was in June month and lasted only for few mins.
Few of us were lucky to get that lightening deal but I think that was very rare deal ;-)

  • +1

Ok to take this on board to travel overseas?

    • +14

What to jump start a plane?

    • You can check with the airline but shouldn't be an issue if it's carried on

  • +1

Can it charge a Nintendo Switch?

    • +11

How many litres is the engine? Petrol or diesel?

  • Does anyone have one of these and can vouch for them? I've heard mixed reviews and quite a few negative ones from mechanics

  • Seen a few things like this before and didn't seem to work too well when people needed it. Maybe inferior versions though.

    • I bought one of these and worked fine for me.

  • +1

Thanks for the post. Have been looking for a reasonable price on these/something similar for ages. Just grabbed one for each of our cars.
    Cheers!

Any deals on the 1500a version?

    • +2

Can't see any promotion at this moment on 1500 but will post as soon as I see one ;-)

    • +1

I tried using the above code on the 1500A version but no luck.

  • waiting for a powerbank that can charge my xps 13.. 20v 2.2amps 45watts

  • used it twice on my beaten up toyota with no problems. straight forward connection, can use to charge phone/laptop and has a flashlight and doubles as an emergency light.

  • 7.0L petrol?

Edit: lol just beaten by hamza23.

    • +1

      The HSV W427 came with a 7L

      • I'm referring to the title saying 'gas.'

        • Gasoline.
          Since updated.

    • Can also jump start boats.

  • -2

Isn't this expensive? My 20,000 Xiaomi was like $35, I'm thinking that plus jumper leads for double the price, yikes..

    • +2

I don't think the Xiaomi can jumpstart a car though. If you buy it for the sole purpose of charging your devices, it would be a waste.

  • This one seems cheaper? (500A up to 5L engine) for only $30
    https://www.amazon.com.au/SUAOKI-Starter-Battery-Booster-Eng…

No. 1 seller on Amazon for its catagory.

    • ^800A vs 500A

    • This specific Suaoki is one to stay away from. It'll be in the bin 6 months down the track.

  • Seems like a good price and I've been looking to pick one of these up for a while. I have two questions I wonder if anyone can answer;

    a) How long do these stay charged for if I fully charge it how long can I leave it for if I just want to have it in the boot for emergencies?

    b) Whats the lifetime of one of these like, a few years, several years?

    • +1

      a) Lithium Polymer batteries (like the one in this) usually drop < 1% a month. Seeing as it says to check the battery is >60%, it would probably be good for 2-3 years? Can't hurt to add a calendar event to check & charge it once a year.

      b) Not sure that's what I want to know. Li-Po batteries seem to only last 3-4 years, Assuming these haven't been sitting in a warehouse for a while.

      • Yeah my one drops charge rapidly. Undoubtedly they've been sitting in the warehouse for a bit. Suaoki is better overall.

Didn't really need it but got it as I can see it becoming handy one day. thanks OP

  • +2

Mine arrived today. I'm not usually one to write reviews but this really deserves one. I've got a 5.7L supercharged V8, it was flat to the point that my external fuel pumps wouldn't even prime up. Hooked this up straight out of the box (think it had 4 out of 5 lights on it), gave it about 30 seconds then turned the key. Fired up straight away. Stopped the car, went again and fired no problems. Highly recommend it so far, the true test of time will be how it holds its charge and performs after a year or two or more. It's also surprisingly small and lightweight.

Thanks OP, really happy with the purchase.
