    S3:

    • Better performance (due to Tizen OS)
    • More aesthetic/less bulky

    Ticwatch Pro:

    • Better Battery Life (normal smart mode usage is ~2 days compared to S3's ~1.2 days)
    • Can last up to 30 days on low power mode, useful when camping, or travelling without power access, or forgetting to charge
    • Around $40 cheaper

    They both share very similar functionality, except that you may be locked into Samsung apps (Samsung Pay, etc) with the S3.
    Have to decide which suits your purpose the best.

    There aren't many Wear OS watches that have the latest chip. This would be using the chip from I think 2015 or 2016.
    The new chip was recently released in a couple of watches and there will be heaps more coming. The watches will be much faster & battery will last longer. Personally, I'm waiting for more of these watches to be released before I pull the trigger.

    Not knowledgeable enough to advice between these two watches however.

    S3 is not Wear OS.
    Ticwatch is Wear OS (Android) so full suite of apps available.
    That said I went with the Ticwatch E as couldn't justify spending $100 more for NFC, better waterproofing and the ugly LCD overlay.

  Yeah wear os is way better than tizen. Ticwatch is one of the best available right now
