    Not really a Downlight then…

    • Agreed, they're more of a room light. I've changed several in my house to these today to control colour temperature and brightness in the rooms where the lights were bothering me.

Can these be connected to a switch with a dimmer?

        • The specs show dimming from 3-100%, whereas the remote specifies from 20-100%, so perhaps they do when hard wired?

  • How many wi-fi control boxes do I need? Is it 1:1 ratio for each light?

Does anyone know if these are any good? Been meaning to replace my Halogens for a while, there are multiple per zone (some two zones per room). I have a Google Home setup, though this sounds like I'll need to dabble with a Home Assistant Raspberry Pi for true control?

    • The remote does 4 lights, you'd hope the wifi is the same or more. Unfortunately I didn't use the wifi. Jaycar have a good return policy and you could try with multiple lights plugged into a power board as they have au plug on them.

    • It will be 4 lights per controller rebranded milight I think.

      • Edit: see my comment below

    • You can have 4 channels per controller with as many lights as you want per channel.

  • Didn't see it mentioned in the OP but says they are also colour temp controllable between 3000k to 6000k

  • Does anyone have a copy of a receipt? The website is showing 49.95… I know it's an in-store price that the OP mentioned… But just in case they say it's not $10..

My local Springvale (Vic) store in has stock

Nice find by the way :)

    • Receipt uploaded.

  • Interestingly looking at the WiFi control box these look to be rebranded milight lights. So they use 2.4ghz control ( not WiFi just same frequency) direct from the remote and also can be WiFi controlled via the box.

Good value as the might lights are very reliable

  • Can you please upload the receipt ?

      Receipt uploaded.

  • if you can find stock, this is a great buy.

    • Yep if there was stock, just called my local and none in any stores, he did say the price was $10.

  • I wish it has an au plug, thus no need an electrician to install one

    • Hey? What, how? Why would they… but… hey? o.O

I'm still too angry to buy from Jaycar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW8K9D9u5aI

  • do these have an IP rating?

    • Lights are IP44, transformer is IP20. Transformer runs to an au plug.

It seems the iPhone app for the wifi bridge has not been updated in a long time, and does not seem to work for joining the bridge to wifi.
Luckily the bridge has an inbuilt web page for configuration. Once joined to my network through that, I can now see it in the app.
If anyone needs a hand setting up give me a shout.
    Cheers

    • Hi, can you help me set it up please?

      • Hi, anyone else knows how to connect the bridge to the wifi. I manage to login to the built in web page but I dont know what to change in the page. I did tried some options and they did not seem to work. Any help is appreciated. Please, I need HELP!!!
