As to the deal…2 years hosting for $39 qualifies as a significant bargain in my book…especially when you take into account that Ventra provide actual support (this costs them money) vs other players that claim they support you but when you need them, they are not there.
VentraIP, I am interested in this plan to host my domain which I only use to host my email, have a email server at home. Is this plan restricted in any way which would prevent me from using it this way, currently with jumba.

You do not need a website hosting plan if you only want domain hosting.
But there should be nothing with this plan which stops you doing what you want
