  • possible to upgrade the motherboard to a B350 board?

    • Not just yet. It's going to be a much easier process through our website than eBay and mobo upgrades options are on the way, but not as of today.

      Cheers
      Luke

Scratch that! Yes, Biostar B350ET2 motherboard option is now live in config options for $29.

Got any boards with an m.2 nvme slot? Would be great for upgradability…

        • +5

Not with either of these boards. I'll ask Ops to look at that for the next bulk order.

          • +1

@luketechfast: Legend, an upgrade option to 2666 or 3000 MHz RAM would be nice too…

        • -1

Can buy a pcie m2 card from aliexpress for $5 shipped

    • B350 Motherboard Upgrade is live - in the PC Upgrade section.

    Do you have a Ryzen 2600, b350/b450, 16gb 3000, 1tb 7200 HDD, 120-500gb sad, rx580/1060-1070 build?

    • +3

      I've added the B350 to the Ryzen 5 1060 system here: https://techfast.com.au/?product=techfast-panthera-ryzen-5-2…

We only offer 2400MHz RAM at present but you can add a second module. HDDs are 5400RPM. You can upgrade SSDs from 120 up to 480. Multiple config options is not a big focus for us at present, but we're slowly expanding our range.

1070s are done with, 2070s will be added in the next bunch of systems/upgrades uploaded.

      • As per above comments would be great to see a b350/b450 with nvme and 4 ram slots, 3000Mhz ram, 7200rpm HDDs in future

  • +3

This deal is actually insane when you consider an RX 580 + a Ryzen 2600 would alone cost you at least $588. an extra $111 gives you a motherboard (minimum value $70), 8gb DDR4 RAM (minimum value $76), a 120gb SSD (minimum value $32), and a case and PSU, not to mention having the system built for you with a system warranty.

    • +4

      Correct.

  • Is it true that your Allied A550W PSU has a 2 year warranty?

    • +1

      Yep

Any chance you could get this put up on eBay Luke?

    • +1

Not for this price with eBays cut. Can't use our website?

      • I had a voucher, that’s all. Will you be using the website moving forward as the primary point of sale then?

      • Just a heads up Luke, a lot of us have 10% and even 15% off eBay vouchers purchased from previous sales just waiting for a good deal to spend it on. Don't cut ebay out completely. I know their fees are rediculous but even with a 10% mark up on ebay you may find some ozbargainers still preferring to purchase on ebay ;)

        • +2

Thanks mate. Definitely part of our plans on going. But there are benefits for finances for us and customisation options on our own platform.

Reckon an eBay deal won't be too far away…

        • +1

even with a 10% mark up on ebay you may find some ozbargainers still preferring to purchase on ebay ;)

Careful with that… We don't want people to accuse techfast with jacking up prices on ebay. People will always compare ebay prices with website and it might not end well.

          • @CodeXD: Very true, but as long as they offer both ebay and website pricing so that the user can choose the cheapest option that works for them, then I am personally happy to allow them to mark up their ebay listing to cover their ebay fees. Whether other people see it the same way is another matter haha. Usually having an active Rep and a level of transparency with their business practices goes a long way to keeping the community happy.

Had approval from above to match price on eBay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192769316800

I'll add B350 motherboard upgrade option in the morning for those interested.

      • +2

Will the B350 be an option on eBay?

      • +1

Have been waiting for the B350 option on ebay. Will this be available soon?

        • B350 Motherboard Upgrade is live - in the PC Upgrade section.

  • What is operating system activation? If we don't choose it, don't we get it windows loaded?

    • +3

Windows will be installed by techfast free of charge but it wont be activated. If you wish to purchase an activation key from techfast for $149 you can and they will type in the key for you so its all activated, but it gives you the option to source your own cheaper activation key if you wish.

      • thank you

  • Another great deal but man that case is ugly…

    • I think that's the first neg we've had on the RGB case!

      • Haha, well listen to your consumer base, obviously my taste is skewed.

Any deals on a rtx 2080 system soon Luke?

    • +1

      Stay tuned

      • +1

        My man!!!

  • Luke, would it be possible to purchase the system from eBay and then the upgrades from the Techfast website? E.G. Purchasing extra SSD storage, upgrading motherboard, adding a monitor.

    • +1

Wow, that is complicated. Can you PM me?

      • First time poster on ozbargain, "Haven't unlocked" the feature yet.

      • Essentially, the system costs less on ebay because of the coupons as mentioned previously in this post. However the upgrades are also substantially more expensive for ‘upgrades’. An example would be the psu upgrade. It would cost around $30 on your website but $80 on ebay. Add on a couple of these upgrades and we’re looking at hundreds of extras. Also, another question. Is there an eta on when the newest batch of 2070s are coming in, and if you would happen to know, the price range of them with lets say a ryzen 5 2600?

        Thanks in advance.

        • +1

I see. It honestly has more to do with workload than anything else right now. We're working on our website as #1 priority, so there will just be some inconsistency for a while until everything's checked.

More 2070s are on the way in - but unsure of date as yet. We haven't got many builds with them but will be adding them as we go.

          • @luketechfast: Time honestly isn’t a big issue on my end. Would giving you guys a call and working things out there for the upgrades make the process easier?

            • +7

@csoracle: Sure, 1300 898 956. Back open Monday. I probably won't be there as baby #2 due date is today, if it doesn't pop by Mon wife is being induced.

  • I'm still running two 2500Ks with a 770 and 970, waiting for a proper upgrade. If I needed a box today, I'd buy this deal instantly. I've just shared it widely. Nice one folks!

  • This deal for $664.95 (With current 5% off on ebay)

    or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/429523 for $799?

    Decisions decisions!

  • All my vouchers are now spent.

  • luke, any plans to drop prices on the 2600/2080 system back to pre-Christmas prices?

    • More deals for those systems coming soon

  • Luke, sorry I just need to check, if i upgrade to the B350 MB, does it have slots for putting in my own NVME drive please? Also it will have a network card for connecting a Synergy NAS or slots to install one?

Mainly need it for photo editing, but some video editing as well. If you want to recommend me something else instead, please do. Thanks!

    • Oh not with nvme, i saw the comments above. Thanks

  • If I just want the parts without the case and power supply, how much will it cost?

    • Can't really offer it Unbundled like that. You could order it undermines fine, and resell the components you don't need.
