meh … another officework no stock deal .. probably bait and switch ?

  • just be warned, it seems this is the model with the proprietry usb micro look-alike cable. You need to take the WD cable wherever you take the drive.

    Not a bad price, though.

    • Yup no stock when I logged in and added it to my cart just now.

One needs to log in to check stock before posting OW deals!

they really are micro USB, but just like mini USB, some microusb cables with power wires that are too thin aren't able to supply enough power to run the drive.

    • +1

think you can use any micro usb, unless i mixed my cables up twice. but if no stock, don't worry.

  • definitely no stock in perth online when i saw it last week

  • nein stock, typical ow 'deal'

  • OW Highpoint, Vic no stock. Really … this is false advertising !

  • if i can find one, anyone knows if i can plug this to dvd player?

    • anyone knows if i can plug this to dvd player?

You can plug it in if your DVD player has a USB port.

If your DVD player knows what to do with it is completely different.

  • Has anyone found any stock at all???

    • No stock at Doncaster store.

    This is bull….

Next OW deal listed on here that has no stock I will make a report to Dept of Fair Trading for being lying thug scumbags.

This drive has been on sale since last week so it is possible that stores have no stock.

If your store does not have any in stock then order it online and have it delivered.

      • I tried that (to order online) but once I entered in my postcode it said the product is not available for backorder……. lols

Report what? Report the OP? Report OzBargain.com.au?

Its a clearence item, not an advertised "deal" or sale item. Officeworks have done nothing wrong.

      • +1

Bit hard to clear items that dont exist I think people are getting at. This happens all to often with OW.

        • But it's very possible that they were cleared within the week that this has been listed.

  • Great deal!!!

$4.95 Handling fee when they offer free delivery for orders over $55 is a joke!! Very cheeky OW!

    • if there's even stock =\

  • +1

from my experience and all i heard, there's no stock anywhere!

so i have to neg it to prevent this deal disappoints newcomers

  • I bought this in OW in Chadstone VIC a month ago when there's a deal on OzB about the 1TB version of this one.
But its price is above $100.

  • Tired of seeing the no stock Officeworks deals. Even eBay deals must have 10 minimum stock. I doubt anybody in this post managed to buy one at all.

  • +1

Does anybody bother to ever ring OW customer service centre on 1300 33 423 Monday - Friday 8am - 7pm (AEST)? This is the quickest and easiest way to find out which stores if any, in your area have stock of a particular product.

  • +1

None in stock on Canberra. They haven't had any of these in stock since August last year apparently.

  • +1

    No stock at Morley, WA.

They said they haven't had stock of this model for a couple of months.

  • No stock at several locations I checked. Negging OW clearance items from now, when there is no stock, and there is nobody indicating they were successful in purchasing.

  • +1

    No stock, never was. Neg.

  • report to moderator to remove it ?

  • just wondering if i can print this out and go somewhere else and ask for a price match??

You can order it on-line as i said here (Not sure what made the comment worthy of being voted negative)

It must depend on where you live as i can order the drive without getting any errors.

there's no issue putting the item into your cart, but if you trying to go through it'll indicate no stock and do not accept back order.
