On the Xbox one dashboard, on all my 3 account they have a ad for 40% off 12 month Gold. Which from memory is about $48

    • Thanks. I'll look see

    • I have this ad on my dashboard but it just says 'Renew & save 40%'. I assumed it was for 12 months, but when selecting it I only get this offer for 40% off 6 months, 12 months still shows as $79.95. Is this the same for you?

Do you currently have an active gold membership on your accounts?

      • 2 accounts I had an active service, 1 account has no gold, but is piggy backing off my "main" account which has the gold if that makes sense.

        • Similar to mine. I have one main gold account, then 4 other accounts piggy backing off it.

So is yours the same ad as mine? If so, interested to know if you get 40% off the 12 months.

          • @Argenti Fox: I pay for Gold for 2 accounts and 1 is a spare (non gold account)when both my kids are playing on the 'paid' accounts I use that one.

If I go on Xbox tonight I'll check for their is a deal for $1 for 1 month, then the 12 month deal will pop up

  • Perfect timing 👍🏼 Mines due next month.

  • Anyone else having trouble accessing the additional 3% off via Facebook? I've loaded the page in a couple of different browsers and the image link is broken.

I find it doesn't work on mobile (even when on the FB desktop site) - on Chrome (PC) it does take a couple of refreshes and you need to give it a minute to appear

      • Cheers for the tip. Got to it eventually!

  • Can confirm these are instant delivery

  • Please do not buy from this website. They sell them cheaper as they have been acquired illegally (stolen credit cards). Microsoft can detect this and there's a good chance your account will be permanently banned.

      Source?

I've been buying from cdkeys for years and never had a problem.

      • Ditto

      • I got banned for seemingly no reason so I got in contact with them and they told me I had used a code that had been deemed to have been bought with stolen info. I had no idea so I told them that and they let me off with a warning.

  • This is the price range I usually cave in and buy, but I'm not sure this time around.

I feel like it's getting harder and harder to find the games with gold and MS are trying harder to flog their new Game pass, which does look like better value.

Dilemma: Renew, or switch to game pass?

    • +2

It all comes down to whether you play online multiplayer. If you need it, get gold. Otherwise for single player and couch co-op, go with game pass.

Just a reminder though, once you cancel your gold membership you lose access to any GWG previously downloaded.

Exactly. I don't pay for gold to get free games. I purely only have it to play the select few games I play online.

      • +3

You won't lose the 360 titles

      • You guys are right, I don't play multi player games so this is a waste for me.

I will be losing access to 4 years worth of GWG. But then again, I only ever really played with a handful of them.

I will be "Konmari"ing my Xbox HDD. LOL
