Greetings everyone, just noticed this deal is back again until Monday and is open to both SA and WA now :)

Description:

  • This desk chair has adjustable tilt tension that allows you to adjust the resistance to suit your movements and weight.

As always, enjoy!

  • Can anyone comment on this chair? Keen to replace two crappy office chairs we have at home with these :)

    • Here's one

You may want to check the others.

    • Having this at home and really worth for $29. Cushions are not that great to sit on it the whole day but would do for 1-2 hours of work.

    • I bought one the last time it was on sale and love it.

      Comfortable and looks good imo.

      Great deal for $29

    • I've got one at home. It's pretty uncomfortable. The back is too short and the curvature causes me to hunch more than I would normally.

    • Chair is fine, especially for this price. Mine is showing its age though

    • Possibly the most uncomfortable office chair I’ve ever tried. I was so disappointed when I went into IKEA looking for an office chair. Ended up with a gaming chair from office works does the job.

    • One of our wheels broke off 6 months after getting it and only little kids sat on it. You will understand why when you see the wheel design.

  • +2

We've owned a couple of these chairs. They were ok but the wheels are terrible and don't move well—definitely don't be a fool and use them on wood floors like we did, they scratch the heck out of the floor.

    • Use a floor mat

        users name is annie.

    • +5

don't be a fool and use them on wood floors like we did

      Annie are you ok?

    • +1

They have safety locks on them, they won't work unless you're sitting on them to prevent them from rolling away before you sit down. Unless you mean you're sitting on them and they still won't move.

    • If they're the standard mounting design, Bunnings sell these or these. They're for hard floors and are softer.

      • Do you use these and can confirm they dont mark hardwood floors? Cheers

        • +1

I don't use them currently as I'm on carpet at the moment, but I've used those first ones I linked on tiles which didn't mark anything. So I can't comment on wood flooring but if you have to be extra careful then a floor mat will be a more reliable protection.

    • +3

Maybe you need to protect it with your colon kolon

      • +1. Can vouch for these, have one of them on my carpet still holding up well after a year no cracks etc

  • Bought this one about a year ago at this price, perfectly comfortable but the stitching has torn over the year, so may as well just buy another one. I'm happy to pay $29 for a decent office chair that lasts a year.

    • +2

IKEA's business model is creating furniture which fails in six months so the customer buys furniture every six months.

      • Well they failed their business model when they made the Tidafors 3 seater sofa. I bought one hoping I would get 2 years out of it, but have now had it for 7 years with it being flogged to death every day and I am starting to get the shits that it just won't fall apart so I can justify buying a shiny new sofa.

Some things at IKEA are shit and fall apart relatively quickly, and once upon a time I would have put a sofa at the top of that list, but some things are surprisingly good quality go beyond expectation, in my case, waayyyyy beyond expectations.

        • Interested to know how many partake in the 'flogged to death every day'

      • +1

Their furniture shits all over officeworks and fantastic furniture and the like

  • Just bought this last month for $59. What are the chances I could return that and get a new one at this price?

    • ikea does have the 365 day return policy if you used your member card, so I don't see it being a problem

    • +4

shouldnt be a problem if u used a member card

if u sat on it… prob beter to buy the $29… return that with the $59 receipt/saves yhou from boxing it up…

      • Thank you and OP….saved a cool $30

  • +1

At this price point probably the best value for money. Thanks OP, needed one and will give it a go.

  • 110kg not bad

    • At that, I could fit my entire family on it.

  • +2

C&C costs more than delivery.. I'm stumped
