    Sub 1200 for 2600 + 2070 build.

    Nothing can beat that.

Cue the PSU blow up comments.

    • +1

It has got 750W PSU now :)

      • +1

The problem with the PSU isn't the wattage rating, it's the quality of the build. I wouldn't want it with a < 100W requirement computer in the long term.

        • +1

Mate purchased the deal last November with the Aywun PSU, it blew last week ¯(°_o)/¯

He also never received the Battlefield code despite e-mailing them.

    • +3

Pull it out and put whatever power supply you want in for that price

    • +3

But for 150 more you could of gotten the rtx 2080

      • No way, where is it?

        • +1

They pulled the listing. In the past you could.

          • @Feeblely: Oh darn it. I'll take this 2070 then. Is it much worse?

            • @[Deactivated]: 2070 will allow 4k gaming 60hz, in most games these days. The gfx gaming 'leaders' (BF1, latest Tomb Raider, Lost Cause 4, Doom, Heaven benchmark) All get over 30fps at 4k on the 2070, some still average over 60 too.

    • That single stick of ddr4 2400 will really help you get the most out of your new CPU too.

      • Is it a single stick though? Seems more practical to just throw in 2x8gb

        • It is. They're doing it that way because it's cheaper, which is silly for Ryzen and its love of ram speed.

    • Itll take you at least a month to get it though. Shoud be called tech slow

  • +8

    i7-8700 RTX 2080 16GB RAM was $1599 :(

  • I thought you could only choose between those games, why would you get 2?

  • Great deal! Brings a 2070 into my price range, maybe even push the boss into letting me have a 2080. Missus likely say no (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)

Any idea if techfast will do a 2060rtx maybe? (Cheaper, will allow a different mobo and case - mini itx) Alternatively are there any possible options on these builds? Ram or mobo kind of thing?

    Fantastic price either way!

    • +3

That’s sad calling your wife the boss.

      • -1

        Nah, she's the missus.

And the convincing is all done haha.

        • +2

If you have the money go for it lol

          • @Griffindinho: Easy yes for the 2070, no go for the 2080 haha. I was budgeting on my build which was only going to get a 2060…so I'm stoked.

  • If I'm right ,based on the mobo the case is micro atx isn't it?

  • Unfortunately, Techfast routinely up the sale price during ebay discount periods.

    • I think their prices have gone up across the board since the amazing deals they were putting out at the end of last year. These 2070/2080 systems are still good, but the 580/1060 machines have all gone up.

      • Not saying the deals are still not good, just that they routinely raise prices during ebay discount times and then lower item prices after the discount time is over. Unfortunately common practice with many ebay sellers.

  • Can you use freesync on these Ryzen / RTX builds?

    • Yeah, freesync support is for Pascal and above so 10XX series onwards support it.

      • Wow thats good news, and looks like that feature has only been implemented in an uodate one day ago.

  • How does a 4790k compare to ryzen 5 2600?

    • +1

I recently looked at benchmarks for the same thing. The ryzen 5 is better for gaming but not by much. If your looking to upgrade your 4790 purely for cpu gains it aint worth it. But the ryzen 5 will require a newer MB and the upgraded components might help, eg faster ram, nvme etc.

I ended up sticking a rx570 in my pc (which has a 4790) and it was a great upgrade over my 750ti :) much higher fps and no cpu bottleneck

      • +2

better to oc the 4790k… 4.6 and your golden

    • Intel have done very little since the 4xxx series tmk. AMD have only recently popped up, and as nice value wise as ryzen is it isn't pushing performance yet.

Stick with your current CPU. If your PC feels sucky, take a look at upgrading your GPU. RX 570 in Aus is an amazing deal right now.

Just be aware that you will be waiting a very long time for shipping. I ordered mine on the 22nd of December and it still hasn’t been shipped. Was told that it would be sent Mon/Tues this week…its now Friday.

I get they sell many machines…just a little disheartening. Fingers crossed my PSU doesn’t fail when I get it….you get what you pay for I guess :)

  • Is anyones techfast pc getting BSOD's? Mine is and it's really (profanity) unfortunate, wanna see if theres a way to diagnose these certain pc's.

    • From what I learned in the past, most often it would be RAM. Replace them with high quality one.
Replacing PSU with a high quality (at least 80+ bronze) also helps. I had cheap quality RAM and PSU with old computer 10 years ago, i always got BSOD.

With my current PC, I spent a bit more for a better PSU and RAM and I've never had BSOD in the last 5 years. Not a single one.

    • BSOD's can be from a heap of things. Check all the cables are connected properly on the mobo, gfx and hdd/ssd. Sometimes a loose connection can cause it. Might even be cable from the heatsink not allowing a fan to spin, over heating cpu and bsod.

Next check the heatsink is properly seated on cpu, if that's loose, not enough heat transfer will occur and cause cpu overheat and a bsod. Same with other things, ensure ram and gfx are seated into mobo correctly (Do this same stage as checking cables tbh, just push them in a bit; CPU heatsink should have a lever arm or similar attachment (depending on what heatsink it is) on one or either side of the cpu, make sure it's in down and firmly in place.

Lastly start some basic trial and error with hardware.
If you have two sticks of ram, try one at a time until it bluescreens. (Also, try each one in each ram slot to see if it's one of the ram slots being dicky)
Try using the on board gfx instead of gfx card to see if it's either gfx card or pci-e that's causing bsod.

Lastly if you narrow the above steps down, you can go buy sometime to replace it (ie bsod seemed to not happen with using one stick of ram, pointing it to be one stick of ram failing). If the new ram (or gfx or what ever you replace) stops your bsods, win!

Otherwise could be mobo (micro fracture chance) or power supply not keeping up, or hdd/ssd failure. 90% of the time you'll find out what's causing bsod on new hardware like this, relatively easy (can be a few hours depending on skill on comp fixing)

Hope that points you in the right direction!

      • So I figured out that it was a faulty ram slot, slot a is just (profanity) I get tons of BSOD when I have 16gb of ram 8gb in each slot, and both ram sticks work fine in slot b so it's just slot a. Apparently if i reset my cmos battery it might fix it, but I'm not sure.

        • Yeah resetting your cmos will just clear any bios settings back to factory defaults. Something may have tweaked out and made the ram run incorrectly software wise, and may require resetting. Resetting CMOS is just as easy as finding the 3 pin and moving a 2 pin connector on a 3 prong pin, to the other 2 pins, then putting it back. Some mobos have a soft press button that do it for you too, but more likely the pin connector.

See how you go. I'd more likely find it to be a faulty ram slot (In my personal experience), but hopefully that fixes it for you.

      • It was cables for me as well once. Was getting a BSOD every so often, after cable management, it went away.

    • Can you take a picture of the BSOD? Or atleast give a bit more info on what the BSOD error message says?

Nice prices really needs 16GB Ram though, RAM has dropped in price a lot now..

I know this is a bit OT, but I miss the days when the flagship GPUs were ~$1200. I remember buying my Asus 980Ti STRIX for $1200 a few years ago. Now the equivalent 2080Ti variant costs about $2349, which is almost 2x the price of the 980Ti.

    This is bloody crazy IMHO.

    • +2

Your opinions shared… unfortunate even if Navis pricings are somehow true it's unlikely they'll hit high tier (2080, 2080ti), least first time round.

Am excited for Navi though…christ we need great performance for low prices to get Nvidia moving. Vega's all round just quantity (and with that price) issues.

      • Yep pretty need something that can trade blows with Nvidia's top end to get this ridiculous price point to something more sane.

Here's hoping for some surprises from the red team.

  • Be careful when ordering from this seller. I ordered my system one month ago and have not received it yet despite numerous messages saying it will be sent soon. A quick look at their feedback on Ebay shows that I am not the only one.

    • +1

i ordered my system 19th Dec and also have not received it yet! i even haven't got any reply after sending them some messages! dunno what to do now!

  • Would one of these systems be good for editing 4K video (if I added more ram)?
