Stanley Socket Set - 1/4 Inch And 3/8 Inch Drive, Metric/Imperial, 75 Piece $50 @ Supercheap Auto

140

Title says all. Price seems to be pretty good in my view.

Not at all stores but can confirm SCA Sunshine, Vic, Lakemba NSW and few more stores have stock. Please search for stores to find where stock is.

  • Is this considered to be good?

    • i am not much into it but based on what I heard its one on top league…

For example same of only 37 piece is for $62 in bunnings
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-37-piece-1-4-3-8-metric-…

      • Thanks, that helps. Bought some sca brand set it twisted first time I used it.

        • sca with their home brand have 2 ranges , one that is cr-v steel, and the other is carbon steel ….avoid carbon steel tools ….it’s why kinchrome, sidchrome don’t put their name on carbon steel tools.

the stanley sockets are cr-v .

    That's an awkward looking case.

i have one of these, the case is TERRILE, but the sockets are good…..make to look good on the shelf but bulky when you get them home and need to store.

wish they did more tools in metal boxes, metal boxes have less issues with hinges and locks over time and seem to be compact for the amount of tools inside.

anyone got this same product? Im looking to get my first stanley drive sockets.

I got the exact same set a few years ago as my first set of sockets, good quality and highly recommended. Done a lot of car servicing and it has help up perfectly. Still use it regularly.

I got it cheaper but still worth it at this price

    • this would be my set for a first set

the 99 piece. Has the basic spanners that you need as well as all the main socket sizes. I know it costs way more but for what you get it pretty much covers almost everything for a first starter set. I believe they can go as low as $87 if you can wait.

  • price is ok but not the cheapest.

Would pick one up if stores closer to me had stock. SA stock showing at Marion and Darlington or Salisbury. Central stores show as 'not stocked'.

    • mentone has none ….would have been nice set to replenish the lost sockets due to junior fixing bikes ….10,12,8mm sockets

i’ve been very happy with stanley sockets , especially sometimes when they have single hex which are stronger and work better with rounded nuts.

  • Great find OP, have been waiting for a deal like this.

  • Do you really need imperial? Even when I come across one there is always a metric that fits close enough.

    • Most common small nut is M3, which requires an M5.5 socket. This set doesn't have that size, but 7/32" is 5.55mm, close enough.
