    • PRev - understand business and you'll understand why.

For example a $20 bottle of Olive Olive that they retail thru Coles might be sold like this

Coles buy price likely to be $10 a bottle lets say its $12 a bottle and Coles gets $8 (40%) markup

Now you go into store with your $10 off voucher and Coles passes that back to the manufacturer and they nett $2 ($12-$10 voucher)

Not the best way to stay in business.

Now Coles might - but its very unlikely and not short notice accept less than $10 for your voucher.

Likewise any voucher would have to be able to be processed through their (Coles) system which means IT authorisation, Buyers approval and so on. And Coles would like to advertise the deal themselves - a month maybe before this could be implemented.

(For Coles - use Woolies if you so desire)

As for second part of rant about the old deal being not honoured. It was made clear there was a limited supply. A simple check they have 3500+ clicks. Sorry you missed out, but we do accept that as Ozbargain grows something you and many others know all too well, then snooze and you lose. I and others have wandered in back from work and found a deal is sold out.

And it was posted by a 3rd party.

As for moving it I can see any report made by you on doing this…. except your rant above

      For everyone else complaining….

Really people there are bargains out there, just because you miss one there's no need to throw a tantrum, the world doesn't give a flying whatever about Ozbargainers demanding freebies.

Hell most of you also got conned with the free pen, and aren't demanding that the scammer deliver, where here a limited offer was made and you drop your bundles

  • what's the point of offering samples if they won't send them?

    • +2

They would if they didn't get ozbargained.

They can't afford to send out the number of samples that were requested.

      • As good will they could still send out, say the first 100, or whatever amount they had been anticipating. Word of mouth is a powerful thing; best to send out some and get some positive feedback as opposed to negative en masse!

        • +1

They said in the initial offer that they reserve the right to retract the offer in a circumstance like getting ozbargained.
You sir, are a self entitled wanker if you think badly of them for trying to support their small independent business.

        • Guess they liked my idea! ;)

  • nice deal

  • Thanks for this guys! Sorry your promotion got killed by ozbargain.

  • Hopefully they are going to be able to cope with the code thats now posted on a third party website.

Tosccana makes a very good olive oil, i have purchased it in the past and it makes a good gift, but never recieved this code despite signing up for the free sample.

  • I would like to use the voucher but shipping is unfortunately very expensive..I would have bought that 500ml of garlic infused olive oil for $12 but shipping kills it.

  • Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the interest in our olive oil and thanks to those who have supported us.

Re postage - you can pickup for free from our grove in Laharum (Victoria), or if you spend $100+ postage is free.

Also we are honouring 50 free samples from the 2000+ requests received (we had allowed postage of 50 samples this month). You can still pickup a free olive oil sample from our grove, or pay the cost of postage for the sample.

    Regards
    Toscana Olives
