I stumbled across this sale of older stock for Bellroy products. Still a bit overpriced IMO but I still bought a travel wallet for $95.

Geez! Definitely paying for a brand name

    • +2

Is it considered a "brand" name?

I'm happy to pay for it considering I've gotten decent life out of them and I don't have a chunky wallet.

      • I've had a slim wallet for 6 years now, cost $35 from Myer…… Still great condition.

      • My Bellroy slim wallet from Nov 2014 is still going strong and looks great. Cheaper JAG wallets were fine but very chunky and didn't age nearly as well.

Better deals with Rushfaster, got the new travel wallet 2018 model for 95 dollars with free shipping (the travel wallet is a 2016 model), just wait for their deals better then going direct.

    • Really? when was this sale?

      • +2

About November last year, there selling the old style one as well for a good price, link below but usually the 2018 model is around $159 mark, I think Rushfaster like doing sales every 2 to 3 monthly, I've jumped on it, when I saw it that cheap.

        • Thanks mate, I was able to cancel my other order.

  • I don't see any of the Bellroy that would fit a boarding pass properly?

    • -1

It fits, it the pre cut part you put it in the folded part and works fine.

      • nice. I think i'd rather the travel folio, extra security with a zip (and room for passports)

        • Travel Folio is nice but it hasn't been on sale yet, maybe sometime this year, they go about $100 on ebay, been out bidded twice on an brand new blue and black one.

I've had a bellroy wallet for over 6 years and it is still going really strong. The best wallet I have ever owned.

    I'd strongly recomend them.

Had my Note Sleeve ($79 in this sale) for a similar time, daily use, still in great condition. Fits Aus notes perfectly and comfortably carries 7 cards.

      • +2

        Agree. Big fan of Bellroy.
I've had a blue note sleeve for 5 years now and it just looks better with age- lots of hidey places for your drivers licence and cards you don't use frequently and the pockets don't stretch over time like with other wallets I've had.
Recently purchased The Low for my travels to US - small size without bulk that fits US and Australian notes perfectly and has spaces for the few cards you need when travelling.

I've got both a Hide-and-Seek (5 years), and also a travel wallet (4 years) that fits my passport for when going overseas, and I can say that Bellroy's wallets are without a doubt the best I've ever owned. I would definitely recommend them.

Are there any companies that manufacture and sell these slim wallets cheaper with out trying to be a luxury brand?
I tried looking for knock offs a while back but didn't really see anyone doing leather slim wallets with minimal material usage.

      www.kinzd.com

Discovered this brand while looking up YouTube reviews of minimalist slim wallets

I got a minimalist slim wallet as a backup until i got one of those RFID click button wallets… but ended up liking this one so much I’ve kept using it… very affordable, ships to aus

Edit: sale on site now; with extra 20% off, will def get a few more spare and as gifts

      • price seems good. Just be aware of the semi obvious fake countdown timer pressuring you into purchasing quickly.
If you open the link incognito the countdown starts again at 21 minutes.

How do you go with australian currency in it as well as all your id cards ect?

      • +2

Thanks, Just bought two, for 19.50 USD delivered.
Also they must not deactivate their coupon codes ethier as I used a previous coupon code for a further 50% off the 50% sale price already on offer.
Dunno if it'll ship or if I'm shooting myself in the foot telling you all about it but the code is KINZD50

        • +1

Thanks Scraegdearimasu, 50% off + 50% off still works for me. Got carbon fibre Zip Pocket Slim Wallet and matching Zip Keyholder + free delivery for approx $30 aud.
Unfortunately can't stack the 20% welcome discount (KINOFF20)
          "…kinhell" great deal.

          • @MITM: Yay my order shipped, Wasn't sure if it would haha. Tracking numbers as well now for the month long wait.

    • NewBring - Aliexpress

      More specifically, the Minimalist

I have the Minimalist since 07/2018 very happy and contemplating purchasing another NewBring for use on overseas travels.

There is currently 2 listings that appear to be similar, at least I've not figured the difference, but with different pricing, the more expensive one has additional colours.

Don't forget CashRewards or other cashback facilities.

      • Wow - the marketing, naming, presentation and cut of that is a blatant rip off of Bellroy.

Sure it's cheaper, a lot cheaper. Ripping off the innovation, ideas, IP and marketing of a small company makes it easy to do.

Maybe its me but I just refuse to support thievery like that even if the $$ saving is large.

  • We have a bellroy Slim Sleeve, Note sleeve and the zip around card one (called card sleeve maybe?) in our family for a few years. The age nicely and still look great. Highly recommend.
