Best thing with these deals are that if you have a Gmail account just add a "." Anywhere in your email. Spotify thinks it's a new account and Gmail doesn't accept "." In their email addresses so their service corrects it and sends it to the right email.

    [email protected]
    [email protected]

Will both go to the same address but Spotify thinks these are two different users.
Essentially this is free Spotify premium for life if you remember to cancel then sign up again just add another "."

    Happy hacking ;)

    • wow I never knew this, thanks!

Do you need a new bank card each time though? I'm sure they verify it's a real account by inserting a small amount and deducting it after it clears

      • +4

Yes you do, I just tried using my old card and it did not work. So the maximum number of free months is your number of bank cards.

      • +2

Not if you just attach your PayPal account each time they don't.

        • So you can attach the same PayPal account that you've previously used with Spotify to the "new" email address and Spotify will not pick up that it has already been linked to a "different" email?

        • I just tried this now with paypal, and you get a pop up warning with red background that says you 'looks like you have already had a free trial'

tried with a visa debit and then it worked.

I use the Old '+' extension trick. So, if your email address [email protected], you can use [email protected]. Gmail ignores anything added after the '+'. You now have infinite number of mail addresses. I primarily use this for identifying some of the dodgy sites that shares their mail list to spammers.

      • Does it also work for Netflix?

        • Haven't tried it. But it should work.

      • I have used this trick to create extra Mega.co.nz accounts . I love gaming the system.

    • Do you have to reinstall the Spotify app using this method?

      • method is far easier and had unlimited options
    • I think I'll use the multiple free trial trick once, but then it's only fair that I pay for it. (I wanted to have 3 weeks now whilst I have a temporary 10gb mobile data from amaysim cashback offer, but TBH I'll probably forget to even use Spotify, so I'm after a trial later this year when I'm on annual leave)

    • But would this work if you want to keep your playlists etc from your first account? That is, can you merge the [email protected] account with the new [email protected] and retain all the playlists etc?

  • Got 503 error

  • It reverts back to 30 days after I logged into PayPal

    • Me too

      • +1

I used CC and it worked.

        • But how do you use an Australian CC when it asks for a US zip code?

        • Didn't work for me, always reverts back to 30 days

    • metoo

(but as comment above states putting in cc allows for 60 days)

  • Thank you chibot!

  • Thanks. For the next 2 months at least, he kids will love telling hey Google to put on music and getting a response.

  • +1

Thanks OP - without ozbargains I would live in a world devoid of music.

  • +2

Brilliant, thanks - never knew this trick with the "."

If you select cancel, does it cancel immediately, or let you finish your subscription? I know with Netflix if you sign-up and cancel straight away it let's you see out your subscription so you don't have to remember to go in and cancel

    • +4

Can cancel anytime (I've canceled after sign up but my premium finishes 6/4/19).

    • +1

Great stuff. I'll add it to OP. Thank you

  • I got the offer with my old account, while I was listening to music the 2 months trial notification popped up (haven't been a premium member before though.)

  • What is the age limit for Spotify student?
Is it just for uni/college (>18 years)? or can high school kids 16 years get it?

  • Nowhere does it mention 60 days. Only mentions 30 days. How do I get access to the 60 days? I've made a new account using the gmail hack and when I click "get premium", it's only a 30 day trial.

    • Deal expired. It was a Valentine's day special.
