Is that even up to date? Looks like the website hasn't been updated since 2010.

      • it has the launch dates of the new imacs, macbook pros and ipad2, why would it be in 2010?

      • It has the new MBPs on it, so I'd say yes.

        • right, nevermind.

      • MacRumors is reputable, yes!

  • Do they combine Student discount with DSE's 10% ?

    • -1

wishful thinking mate but I guess you could try getting this 10% with 5% woolworths discount + student discount and let us know. :)

  • +1

Where does it say 10% off Apple products? Does it include online purchases?

    • yea, it includes online purchases, check them on DSE's website.

Holy crap that's an awesome deal if student discount doesnt apply to you! Cause you get 3% cashback from moneyback co making it effectively 12.7% off!!! (thats if you already have MBC account but what good ozbargainer doesnt?)

        • +1

So basically you sign up with MBC, click through to DSE from the MBC website, purchase with the DSE 10% off and MBC will give you 3% back? From what you say, a lot of people have used MBC with no probs? Sorry, I have never heard of them before and 13% is as good as it gets with Apple. The student discount isn't even a hard 10% these days :\

        • That's the idea
But MBC will take $10 off the cashback if you haven't paid their annual fee (which is taken from the cashbacks you earn).

why neg vote? It is a legitimate query. All that is displayed is price and nothing to indicagte discount. Hence my question. Some people are so "negative"

      • +2

In the "list view" there is no way of knowing if there is a discount. However, when you click on a specific Apple computer product, there is red text to the right of the price saying "Price Reflects 10% Discount".

        • Thanks for the explanation :)

  • I negged it. If youd looked it said 'price is inclusive of 10% discount'.

    • +1

Thanks for that, reason being it didn't have any thing regarding the discount on default display of items unless I clicked on full view.

would love the new iMac to be released before sunday haha

  • would love the new iMac to be released before sunday haha

  • good deal for those looking for a new mac. Is there anyway i can spec the macbook air up to 4GB Ram and the faster CPU with this 10% off discount? It seems i can only select the base models

    • That would mean having a build to order. These discounts never ever apply to those.

    • +1

And if you're after a bargain, you'd be much better off upgrading these after purchasing! Just don't buy the upgrades from Dick Smith lol

      • -1

Cant upgrade the air yourself nor the macbook pro as they use a unicase body. And also with all laptops you cant upgrade the processor by yourself or at all.

        • +2

Yeah I was meaning more HDD and RAM, and you can upgrade a Macbook Pro Unibody.

        • +1

You CAN upgrade the Macbook Pros with the unibody.

        • Can you upgrade the screen resolution on the mac pros?

        • Only on the 15" and 17" ones, the 13" is stuck at 1280*800.

        • Do you have to go instore and request a larger resolution screen + non glossy?

  • -4

Too bad it's overpriced to begin with

    • +1

      How so?

  • +3

Definitely don't buy the iMac now; it's very likely that the NEW iMac would be available on Weds 4 May. That's what I'm waiting for :-). That might be why they have this deal to try to get rid of current stock.

Wow I can't believe macbook pros a decent now in regards to price.

I remember last year a 13" macbook pro with a core2duo cost $1400 but now it comes with a nice core i5-2 for $1300.

    • +1

Good price given apple products generally are not discounted. The entry level macbook pros have had a very reasonable price tag for a while - even at RRP of $1400, i reckon is a pretty good price given build quality of these things. At $1,259, its exceptional value.
