  • Any concerns about brexit if it goes ahead? Being British O2 network and all? Also 3 or so months ago you did sale with 40 or 50% off but for your birthday only 25%?

    • Hi fishka,

No concern, our SIMs are on the ThreeUK network and Three UK have announced that their products will not be affected by a deal or no-deal Brexit. You can read their announcement here

I think you are referring to EuroSIMs, we have not offered a discount higher than 25 - 30% since the start of 2018.

      -Aidan

  • Hey your Europe sim card, which local networks does it connect to in Italy & Austria? Thanks

    • Hi scary!

      Austria - Hutchison Drei Austria
Italy - 3 Italy or WIND

      -Aidan

  • Hi Rep,

What are the chances of receiving the SIM (normal postage) in Canberra by Monday 4th March if ordered today.

    • Hi mak,

I don't think it would get to you in time my man! I would recommend express postage for that time frame.

      -Aidan

  • +1

Purchased 2 x European SIMS and 3 x Japan ones.

All well suited to my needs re: pricing, data etc. but the up-vote is for your customer service and engagement on this site. It's the things like these that matter so keep up the great work mate!

    Cheers,
    Vince

    • Hi Vince,

      Thanks heaps for your support!

I'm happy that I had something suitable for you, let me know how it all goes and reach out if you need anything from me :)

      -Aidan

  • Hello Rep,
We are travelling New Zealand next month (South Island only) - how is the 2degrees network coverage specially on the road? We will be driving from Christchurch to Queenstown via Mt Cook.

    • +1

      Hi Bappy,

You can check the coverage here

Unfortunately, I don't have any personal experience driving out there (I wish I did!), so I can't comment.

The coverage map is your best bet!

      -Aidan

    • Hi Gabby,
I can give you my personal experience.
My wife used the 2 degrees and I used the Europe sim that covers NZ and you will find that it doesn't matter what network you are on it will come and go as you go along that route. I did notice the Europe sim re-establishes earlier than 2 degrees but muchness of muchness. I think with the Europe sim, you can jump onto alternate NZ network for better coverage but only discovered this near the end of the trip so didn't get a conclusive result. The use of maps on Europe sim works but takes a few minutes more than normal to get accurate location.

      Hope this helps

  • Hi, are you still using the Cuniq US sims from China or another sim? Have you had any feedback on coverage in CA?

    • Hi Orgazmo,

We sell a different SIM now, the Cuniq ones were super cheap but they just weren't the most reliable. Our new USA SIMs are manufactured by Ultra-mobile (operates on T-mobile GSM network) and are quickly becoming our highest rated product. I'd take a read through our reviews for feedback on the coverage. We have pages of reviews where people leave feedback on their experience. You can find them here.

      Hope that helps!

      -Aidan

  • These look great. Would it be too soon to buy one now for Europe if I'm not going until October?

    • +1

      Hi gnarkill,

Not too soon, you can buy the product discounted now and hold onto it until you travel in October no worries at all!

Let me know if you have any other questions about it :)

      -Aidan

  • AusPost parcel lockers only accept parcels, not letters - is the SIM sent via parcel / can it be received in a AusPost parcel locker?

    • Hi igor,

We've sent hundreds of orders to parcel lockers without any issue at all.

They are sent in pre-paid Australia Post registered envelopes so that may be why.

      -Aidan

  • +1

Thanks! ordered one for upcoming trip to NZ in May.

    • Thanks ozpg!

  • Thanks Aidan for the deal, I ordered the Europe Sim for Italy for my mum's holiday which I noticed has Australia as well.

Silly question - can I activate it a day before her trip in Australia to check all working?

My mum is not that good with tech so it would be hard to remote troubleshoot :)

    • +1

      Hi hsf,

Yes you can, it will connect to Vodafone here in Australia and activate. Just be warned that the 30 days will start from the moment you insert the SIM and it connects to the network.

Just ensure you turn on 'data roaming' in her devices network settings :)

      -Aidan

  • hi Aidan, hope i'm not doubling up. have not used int. sims before: going to czech republic, so looking at the europe sim. when someone calls this sim from czech republic (or other eu country) would they still pay for a local call rather than international one?

    • These are probably Three UK simcards, so you would pay International to UK.
They don't provide 'local' numbers at every country.

    • Hey Esik,

The SIM has a UK mobile number so they would be charged at rates to the UK.

      Hope that clears it up!

      -Aidan

      • +1

        great, thanks.

  • Hi I'm travelling to Europe in august, does your Europe sim work in Albania, Montenegro? Couldn't see those listed on your site.

    • Hi nenadb,

The SIM does not work in those countries unfortunately :(

      -Aidan

  • Do you have any SIMs that work in Greenland and the Farao Islands? Couldn't see it listed on your website…

    • Hi Mrkrazy,

We don't unfortunately! It's not a common place that Aussies go to so it's not something we will cover unless it becomes included in our Europe SIM in the future.

      Sorry I can't help!

      -Aidan

  • Hi,

I’m still waiting for a refund for the 15 day Japan sim after you replied to my comment on Facebook. That was 3 weeks ago.

I emailed twice and you never replied.

    • Hi I like cats,

Please give me your order number and I'll get it done ASAP. We have been extremely busy coming into the new year but I promise I will get that done for you!

Please PM me your order number here on Ozbargain - I will be very active on here over the next few days so it will be easier for me to find your message :)

      Thankyou!

      -Aidan

  • How long do you have to activate it if travelling to Europe? Looking at travelling mid-year.

    • Hi Angers,

You can activate the SIM whenever you like. The SIM only activates when you land in Europe and the SIM connects to a local network.

If you don't leave until mid this year you can grab it now and just hold onto it until you need it.

      -Aidan

      • +1

        Thanks Aidan.

  • Do you have a SIM pack that works in Turkey? Is this part of the promo?

    • Nothing for Turkey sorry!

      • Thanks Aidan. Shame!

  • Hi Aidan, I just ordered the SE Asian sim and clicked on the "Find My Guide" but couldn't find the 4GB 12-day guide.

    • Hi Hogg,

We don't have a guide created for the SIM yet, I'm not sure why it's linking the old one. I'll remove that now.

No real need for the guide anyway, all the information you need is included in the SIM packaging :)

      -Aidan

      • Thanks Aidan. Also confirming that the SE Asia sim.works in Japan?

I won't be going until Dec-Jan, no chance Japan support will somehow be taken away, right?

  • Regarding the Explorer SIM Card, what carrier is used in Chile and do you know if it will work in Easter island?

  • Thanks for the deal Aidan, Have just ordered the EUR SIM for our trip in October.

    • Thanks wanderingoz!

  • Hey mate, looking at the UK&Europe 30 day SIM and it lists the USA as a country it will work in. Is this right? And if so, would this be a better SIM to get for the USA as it has more data? Thanks!

    • Hey Thrillho,

The USA 5 GB SIM is definitely better for the USA than the Europe SIM. The Europe SIM roams to the US at 3G speeds whereas the dedicated USA SIM works on 4G with better coverage.

      Hope that helps!

      -Aidan

      • +1

        Excellent, cheers!

SIM Ejector tool/paperclip for leaving Auckland airport

I forgot to buy a paperclip at the news agency before leaving for the airport. I want to be able to swap SIMs in flight so I have data ready to go when I land back home. Unfortunately I lost my SIM ejector tool in the airplane on the way in. That was solved on the way in with some hassle by using the SIM ejector tool of the airport mobile stores but ideally I want to do it in flight.

Any help? I've passed through customs.

    • +1

Think simsdirect comes with the ejector tool already.

  • Thanks Aidan, just purchased 3 Europe sim cards :)

    • +1

      Awesome! Thanks grimace!

  • Sorry think it may have already been answered, but with the 30 day europe SIM you can make phone calls within Europe for no charge?

    Buying 2 today!

    • Hey Box,

Yes, you can call European countries for no charge.

      Thanks for your purchase :)

      -Aidan

  • Got a question, my Wife Visa to Europe is not approved as yet, if it is, then we will travel in May 2019 but if we don't travel, there no expire date on the card? it can be used like in 2020 or 2021? As well postage to the Northern Territory is free? its not listed on the website, thanks

    • +1

      Hi cr!

Yes you can buy it and hold onto the SIM until then :)

If for whatever reason the Visa gets declined, we can also organise a return/refund.

      Postage Australia wide is free!

      -Aidan

  • I thought I saw somewhere that there was extra discount for bulk purchases? Is there and what defines bulk?

    • Hey Box,

The bulk purchase discount is offered when we aren't doing promotions like this (it;s for orders above 1 SIM card)

Only one discount code can be used at a time.

      -Aidan

      • +1

        Cool. Thanks. Just purchased 2.

        • Legend!

  • So if I have the UK sim number, and I'm in France and Spain, my wife calls me from Oz, will she be charged for a call to the UK or the country I'm in?

    • The call will be charged at rates to the UK.

The SIM has a UK mobile number (+44).

      -Aidan

  • Can you call each other in Europe for free if you have two SIMS?

    • Yes! :)

  • I just order one for my Europe trip in May… Hope its not too early to buy it and sim will be alright till May when i activate it.

    • +1

Totally fine! There shouldn't be any issues at all.

Simply just hold it until you land in May :)

      -Aidan

      • Buying to one more but promo code not working, it supposed to end on 2 8th… And 28th not finished Yet

  • Great deal. Arrived at the perfect time I needed it.
I was looking at KKday and could only find an 8-Day 8GB HK sim card which put me in a pickle because I was there for 10 nights with one spent in Macau.
The 12-day South East Asia SIM solved my problem. Half the data, twice the convenience..more reason to be off my phone and enjoying the sights!

    • Thanks Xis!

      Appreciate your order :)

      -Aidan

  • Hi

Plan:Europe & UK 30 Day Travel SIM Card (71 Countries)

in above plan, can i use data in all 71 countries.

    thanks

    • Hi!

Yes, you can use the 12GB of data in all 71 countries listed :)

  • Hi, I placed an order yesterday at 9:30am. Your website says orders placed before 3pm are dispatched same day however I have not received a confirmation email. I am leaving early next week. Thanks

    • Hi Bonbi,

We've been completely smashed by the sale (our printers literally broke!) so we have been shipping orders out as fast as possible.

We are sending orders by prioritising customers who are leaving first (based on the departure date entered during checkout)

Could you please give me your order number and I will sort it out for you!

      -Aidan

  • If I place an order now (before 3pm), would I receive it before Monday (4-Mar)?

    • Hi aafny,

I would highly recommend ordering express postage if you need it by Monday next week. If you order express postage your order will be prioritised and sent ASAP.

      -Aidan

  • The Europe sim says unlimited calls and texts here but limited to 3000 minutes on your site. No way I'm likely to burn thru that many minutes… But it's not "unlimited".

    • Hi backpaqer,

The images and PDF guide on our site are outdated, It used to be 3000 minutes but the product got updated to unlimited. I have just not had the chance to update some of our material!

      Sorry for the confusion!

      -Aidan

  • Hi rep
are the sth east asia 4gb 12 d sims out of stock?
    saying preorder?

    • Hi rinbond,

Yes, the SEA SIM is sold out, you can still place an order if you like but it will not be sent until new stock arrives next week.

      -Aidan

  • -1

    Hi Rep,

In May I am going to New York for six days, then Vienna for three days, then Switzerland for four days and then 10 days in Japan.

What do you suggest for my itineary please

    Thanks

    • Hi Chumly,

I would suggest 1X Europe SIM card (the data works in USA) and 1X Japan SIM

Let me know if you have any other questions!

      -Aidan

      • Thanks Aidan,

Does it matter that I am activating a "Euro SIM card" in the USA first as that is my first destination?

  • Thanks for the deal - ordered SE sim card just now! :)

    • Thanks! :)

  • Are Japanese Sims for tourists relatively new? We went to Japan a few years ago and I thought it was supposed to be difficult/impossible for a non-resident to get a SIM, hence the popularity of hiring mobile hotspots? Or have I misunderstood things?

    • Hi Kiltos,

I'm honestly not sure. I think in recent years its just become more popular to get prepaid SIM cards as they are the easiest/most cost effective way to get connected.

Once one person tries it they tell their friends and then before you know it there is a demand for these products as they make life easier.

When there is demand - supply follows!

We get customers messaging in all the time about why they purchased and a lot of it is tied to poor experience with local options/global roaming in the past.

I don't know if I answered your question but I hope this helps (just had my morning coffee!)

      -Aidan

  • Bought 2 15 day Japan sims, thanks for the deal! one less thing to worry about.

    • Nice! Thanks for your order Elision!

  • Any plans on getting a sim for Fiji in the future?

    • No plans yet, unfortunately!

We don't get asked too much for Fiji SIMs.

We try to go for products that we get a lot of requests for so Fiji isn't something we would bring on until further into the future once we've found products for more popular destinations.

      -Aidan

  • I am going to New Zealand in August, would it be ok if I get the sim card now?

    • Hi rcarlos,

Yes, you can buy it now and hold onto it for your trip in August :)

      -Aidan

  • Thanks Aiden! Can vouch for SD. My 365 12GB 71 country data SIM is finishing in Aprilish so I've just picked up another one for when that expires!

Served me well in USA, Colombia, Peru, Panama, El Salvador, France, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain and Australia although of course I never used it here… Sadly it didn't work in Japan, UAE, Thailand, Bolivia or Ecuador, but it really did serve me well enough.

    • Hi lozza,

      Cheers for the feedback!

Thanks for your purchase and glad to have you back!

      -Aidan

  • THe code doesn't work. It says 'Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered'.

    • Hey mi3rebus,

All working again, It accidentally stopped working 24 hours early.

      Sorry about that!

      -Aidan

  • Hey op tried and it said this for both the Europe and global
Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered

    • All working again!

      -Aidan

  • Expired? "Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered"

    • I think I got the dates wrong for the discount code!

      All working again!

      -Aidan

  • Same for me. "Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered" :(

    • +1

      Hi dodgey,

      Sorry about that!

It's up and running again :)
