  • Can I ask what the length of warranty on the battery is please?

Also what condition are the batteries in and have you thoroughly tested them?

      Hi there,

We provide 1 year limited battery warranty. Any problem during the first year will be replaced. We do thorough testing on all our batteries before selling them.

      • what's the cost to fitted new generic batteries? It should be done easily.

      • What application do you use to test the batteries?

  • whats wrong with hd screen? Whats the downside in a laptop

There's nothing wrong with it at this price point. In fact, given the specs, this is actually a really good deal. It's great for basic work, or for your parents or kids. A 1366x768 screen is far below standard in today's world, and even still so when this generation of Intel processor was new, but it's not like you're suddenly seeing potato-quality images with a screen like that. Some people are just used to higher specs and they speak for themselves while disregarding other use cases. Or there are some people who like to say they bought a $2,000 laptop for $7 and that's their baseline for a bargain.

Again, for the price, this is definitely on my radar.

      • Agreed at this price point with these specs it's a great value laptop. It won't suit everyone but you will struggle to find a brand new laptop that performs this well at this price. The only downside is the age and the fact that some of these laptops would have been used full time so fans and ssd might be close to end of life.

  • they still call that HD?
    gotta be joking

      1366x768 never again

    • "Full HD" = actual HD

  • Is this 4cores or 2 core i7

    Any deals on Elitebooks?

I have this laptop. The screen is painfully bad.

  • Is 4c i5 better than 2c i7?

    • Yeah, the 4C i5 is much better than 2C i7, even though the i5 doesnt have hyper threading. i5 quad-core is much better.

    • Yep, 4x instead of 2x

  • Bought 1. Was hoping to buy more but code only applied to 1 laptop.

  • This looks great value for the specs

Please tell me areas where this isn't a great deal (for a portable second computer for me)

  • The only thing that worries me in reviews is how dim the screen is

  • I'm wondering how much better it would run with 16GB Ram (and how much the extra 8gb ram would cost)

    • You can add it on at time of purchase: $160 if I remember…

  • Is this actual HP RENEW stock? Or is it “Refurbished” refurbished?

  • Backlit keyboard?

    • Hi there,

these laptops do not have backlit keyboards.

  • not worth standing up. throw away your money and you'll be better off. $399 is not a lot, gey some more and buy a decent modern machine.
