How it works -

Option 1:

Find what you want on eBay.com.au then change the URL at the start to eBay.co.uk for easy purchasing.

If above doesn't work then try this.

Option 2:

Considering what happened in the last deal, the country switch doesn't seem to work anymore, so you will most likely have to make a new account at eBay UK to take advantage of this offer.

Add random UK address and use AU mobile to confirm account via SMS then add AU address as preferred/Primary Delivery Addresss .

Tip : Use Dummy email by using existing email to register at eBay UK without creating new email id.

Your email: [email protected]
Dummy email : [email protected] ( just try any combination starts with +) This works with Gmail. Haven't tried with other email services so do check before you buy.

You will receive email on your original email id

Is that because its an AU ebay gift card and you're trying to purchase from ebay UK?

  • eBay UK account required.

Does this mean I need to go to ebay.co.uk and create an account or that I just need a UK delivery address?

UK address needs to be primary, delivery address needs to be AU. Instructions have been added in the OP.

          • @jasswolf: Finally… Followed it and was able to order

I'd wait for eBay.uk 10% off to get eBay.AU gift cards, then buy stuff at 10% or 20%, better discount rates.
If you need something now, it's a valid deal.

  • I just created an account and the item I wanted to buy suddenly after refreshing:

This seller is not allowed to sell to UK buyers.

This seller has been identified by HMRC as not being compliant with UK VAT rules, so we have restricted their sales to UK buyers. We recommend that you search for similar items from other compliant sellers.

    • haha what was the item?

    Code has expired.

  • Strange. Expired already. Was meant to be till 10 AM.

    • It's 10pm UK time now, so expiring 2 hrs ago was correct wasn't it?

      • -2

        Yes.

I just went by the expiry time from the OP's post, which said 10AM our time. He got it wrong, as does happen sometimes. So I was too tired to shop last night, thought I'd wait till next morning and do it early. It was my mistake to trust info provided by a deal post though. It's not the first time they've gotten the end time wrong.

        • +2

Apologies lostn, I got it wrong.
