  • Can you install Foxtel app on this TV?

    • I don't believe so. Ideally you want a separate little media box. I have an nvidia shield and vodafone tv, Foxtel Now works fine on both.

    damn, good price.

    i'm holding out for a 55 inch nu8000 under $950.

  • Thanks OP! I missed the last deal and was hoping another would come up. Got one this time😀

  • How do these TVs compare to the Aldi ones?

    • General consensus is much better. Aldi ones seem to change frequently and can be a challenge for example to know what panel is used. But Aldi do have good returns policy. I personally would only get an Aldi or similar super cheap set if it was for pure kids use.

    • Free to air SD stations look really, really terrible on this TV, otherwise the picture quality is way better than the Aldi sets. The inbuilt apps aren't great, I'd couple this with an AppleTV 4K or PS4Pro or similar for watching content.

      • +1

You have to fiddle with the picture settings to get the best picture. It's night and day since my changes, but still experimenting with them.

I agree the inbuilt apps are not the best, YouTube is good though.

Are you talking about free to air?

I wanna buy one of these but I'm put off now after reading free to air looks really really terrible lol

          • +6

@montorola: Free to air SD channels like pretty average regardless of brand/model, only so much you do upscaling crap res/bitrate to 4k.

          • +2

@montorola: SD FTA in any tv this size looks terrible!

            • +2

              @shockme79: I spent $4000 on a 65 inch Sony 4K TV 3 years ago.

Free to air SD channels are unwatchable on that too. You can only stretch a native image so far.

Not the TV's fault broadcasting in this country is in a state of disarray.

          • @montorola: Yeah, FTA, follow some of the settings below. It looks great for what it is. TV comes with sharpness at stupid levels and reds unbalanced. So reduce that, and make red -2, then you're already 50% there.

Have the 75P7 and after a bit of picture setting tweaks doesn't look too bad 4K, HD and One X looks awesome. Great telly highly recommend.

These are the picture settings I've got for FTA:

        Standard
        Brightness 50
        Contrast 50
        Colour Saturation 40
        Sharpness 10
Backlight Dimming Medium plus press down arrow on remote to get Backlight and set it to 40
        Adaptive Contrast Medium
        Smooth Motion (5, 5)
        Cool Temp
        Gamma 2.4
        Colour Native
        Rest unchanged

        • How's the motion for gaming on XBox1X?
Do you get any motion blur?
          cheers

              @dins: Awesome!

Thanks for the settings for reference.
Although I don't have this TV yet, but I believe that they are very well priced, especially under $2K ATM.

              Cheers

@vinni9284: No worries yeah an absolute steal for mine. Managed to get the 75P7 for around $1650 delivered from appliancecentral eBay (Betta Home Living Villawood). Comes with 3 year in-home warranty as well. Keep an eye on their deals you should be able to pick one up around that price range or even lower once the new Hisense line-up is released. I would definitely go for the 75" no matter what anyone says size matters haha.

                  @dins: Thanks mate!

                  Wow, that's a bargain price!

                  Cheers

Edit - (Looking at different model. Ignore)

  • 2 sold and only 2 available?

  • Looking at the specs a bit cautious on the panel.

    "Viewing Angle (Horiz / Vert ) Degrees 89 / 89"

  • How long does it take the TV to turn on?
    Any ideas on input lag?

    • +1

I don't have a 65p6 but recently bought Hisense 43p6 and 75p7. The 43p6 turns on as fast as the 75p7(or at least I personally couldn't tell the difference) and it's for sure faster than our entry level Samsung smart TV .

    • +1

P7 turns on quick P6 most likely as well I would reckon.

  • -1

What is the weight of the tv

  • This or Samsung 65" Series 7 4K UHD HDR Smart TV UA65NU7100 ?

  • The $895 click and collect deal from the good guys was a much better deal as this is $90 delivered for me.

    Good deal still.

    • Compared with 55P6 for 595 from HN last week?

  • +1

    Fill your boots!!

  • Does anyone know what OS this model is based on? Is it on Android?
    Thanks.

    • Their own OS I think not Android. It's pretty decent.

  • DEAL ENDED!

    • +1

Hmmm, they list more than 10+ available / 1 sold? Possibly restocked?

      Is a new listing!

  • Can anyone recommend another model at this size as this deal has expired?

    • +1
