  • That's about $60 worth of wish gift cards. Not worth it for me.

Um.. Inaccurate title. First year free != no annual fee.

this deal wont work. judging on all effort + $55 reward program fee and effort when chase up flyer points then redeemption for woolies card. you virtually earn nothing

    • What $55 rewards program fee? No such fee on this card.

Joining QFF is also free if you have Woolies card

  • I'd sign up just for the points then cancel. Seems like a good deal if you can be bothered

It has fewer hoops than the ones american express were running, having to make 4 different eligible purchases

    • Exactly, theres a similar Qantas AMEX card with 7,500 points free from spending outside of Qantas, and additional 2,500 points from spending with Qantas.

The ANZ one is just one eligible purchase ($1 chocolate from Coles)

  • I am using the westpac ignite (used to be virgin money) free annual fees for life. Just no rewards points.

Misleading title, there is An annual fee.

    • free first year

    • No need to negative vote on it. Just hit the REPORT button and a mod will fix the title.

  • Anyone dealt with ANZ with cancelling a card? What is the restrictions. To be frank can I sign up and then cancel my card once I get the points?

    • -1

Why wouldn't you be able to? I've never seen exit fees on credit cards. Most people wouldn't go through the time and effort of applying for a credit card to cancel right after unless you are an OzBargainer.

      • Im an OZbargainer… 10000 points is about $80 worth of coles vouchers.

  • 10k bonus points isn't worth having this credit card application in your credit record. They hardsell the credit insurance to you a couple of weeks after applying btw, so be warned.

You have to pay to join the qantas membership also. Thats an additional cost.

    • Do you mean, if someone's already with QANTAS, they have to pay another fee?

(Citibank charges an extra fee if you have the QANTAS reward points credit card with them)

      • +1

        no, not like citi

also, plenty of places to get qantas membership free..

  • What's the other offer? 16,000 points, annual fee $95, Visa 1 point for $2, this one 10,000 points, $49 fee (after year 1), 1 point for $4?

    • there seems to be two offers correct me if im wrong?. first one the annual fee of $49 is waived and you get 10k points. i think the program fee is included too?. the second is you get 16,000 points, but annual fee is $95 which includes the program fee of $55. you are best going for the first offer, thats similar to the one i got a few years ago and i haven't used the card for over a year and they still seem to waive the annual fee when i call up ask for it to be waived politely. I just tell them i have a personal loan with them and want to check if i'm entitled to have the $49 fee waived since im not using the card otherwise i wish to close the account. they are very generous with their credit limits i have found. btw you can also do a product transfer to another card with a lower fee. has any one had luck persuading them to give you private banking status so then you can upgrade your card to a platinum ff card with no annual fee for life?

  • FREEBIE NOT AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE!

The only people who can get this FREEBIE are ONLY people who pass ANZ credit & other checks and become eligible for a ANZ Credit Card.

A lot of people have bad debt, etc - so cannot get this FREEBIE.

    • But still useful to a lot of ozBargainers - thanks for posting bazza

    • Well that's obvious- a credit card is not for everyone but for those who can….

  • Do QANTAS FF points expire? The amount of CC deals here offering FF points is pretty good that I reckon if you applied for all of them, you'd acquire a good amount of miles.

    • no expiry, plus you can transfer between family members for free

      • incorrect i think they do expire if theres no transactions for 36 months.

  • I think this deal is alrite if you willing to make an effort to redeem woolies gift card.

I have experience dealing with points redeemption it is taking very long and time wasting at time. worth to get a better cash offer deal else where. still toss up whether worth to join anyway

    • I've previously redeemed Altitude Points in the past with Westpac Platinum Visa/Amex for vouchers (Bunnings/Retail gift cards etc.)

they have been fast to process, arriving within 5-7 days of redemption.
