Greetings everyone, this deal has just gone $1 cheaper per month but with an extra 10GB per month of data! This is due to the changes in the Medium tablet plan now to 20GB per month.

The page that I have linked has old information, however if you click through to the plans page you can see that it is $28 per month for 5GB + 15GB of data!

I discussed on live chat and they mentioned that this should be available to anyone who is taking out a new Tablet plan :)

The order page says:

There has been comments in the previous deal mentioning that you can chat with Telstra and try to add a 128gb one instead for $5 more per month, YMMV!

If you go over your data allowance, there are no extra data charges in Australia.

Peace of Mind Data is a new type of backup data, so if you ever run out of your Included Data in a month, you won’t have to pay excess data charges in Australia. If you exceed your included data allowance, your data speed is capped at 1.5Mbps until the end of your bill cycle (which means it is not suitable for HD video or high-speed applications, and means that some web pages, videos, social media content, and files may take longer to load) and slowed further during busy periods. For personal use in a tablet only. Data for use in Australia. FairPlay policy applies.

      There isn't. This is essentialy an plan that is no longer available and people are only getting through sheer luck on live chat. OP should amend this post, and also state that it is for existing customers only.

        Have been offered $19 student plan with extra 5gb (15gb total) + peace of mind data ( I am a student, though never told the this).iPad 128gb then an extra $15 - so $34 in total.

        So 15gb + POM or 20gb and no POM.

        This is correct. The deal is basically over, anyone still getting it is based on chat staff working some magic to find a discount.

        Sheer luck is absolutely spot on. I talked to one person on live chat with no success (pasted in actual link), just told me that this is an expired offers and heres' the link to our current tablets deals. Then half an hour later, did the exact same thing with a different staff on chat and managed to get the offer (I'm not an existing Telstra customer).

        yep got the same. can see successful transaction on CC though. Wonder if they are cancelling it or looking for confirmation. Tried calling but their was a queue so screw that, will wait to see what others find as I am in no rush.

        Further to this, I called their number. After a while of operator searching their system I was told to bring pay slips and utility bills to the nearest Telstra shop to get order up and running. Bit of an f around and I have the feeling the operator just said that to get me off the phone… too hard basket, perhaps.

          I got this text too and am not sure why. No way am I stuffing around bills and payslips and dealing with their godawful in-store staff if that's the case. They can cancel my order.

          Update. If you walk in the staff can find you on their system and do it all manually. You can walk out with the iPad.

            @bhm133: I called them this morning. they gave me same story as I was not a current customer I needed to take utilities and pay slips in and until I do it can't proceed. Said fine I will arrange that sometime in the next week or so when I am near a Telstra shop, got notification an hour later that it has shipped to me.

    If you still want the deal and already have a Telstra service, then ask live support for a medium companion plan with an iPad with a $10 monthly discount.

    Use your best manners and sweetest words, as it's entirely at their discretion.

    Worked for me though.

        No idea, the rep literally just said "As you've been a long time customer, I can offer you a $10 loyalty discount on this plan too, which should match that offer".

        Maybe you don't even need a service and the rep was just looking to make me feel like a valued customer.

        Can't hurt to try.

        It doesn’t specify. You need to ask live chat. Judging from the old plans probably 32gb. If 128gb is $34 like the old plan still a good deal.

    Just signed up for My Account, iPad due to arrive Monday, negotiated 15GB + POM on live chat, looks like it may actually be 20Gb + POM (according to My Account), which I am happy with.

    Was told there was no way they could do the deal at the old price.

    Deal has been listed on the telstra website, at $29 per month with no POM data though.

    You can get 50GB for $50 per month with POM data.

        They all look the same every year, except with a higher price tag with not much improvements (atleast for me):)
