Was in 7/11 at Lithgow and bought 2 small $1 coffee’s (cause you get more coffee than 1 x $2 coffee👍🏻👍🏻), ol’ love charged me for one only and said 1 free coffee today. Hopefully nationwide.

    I get that it's better value but buying two $1 coffees is a blatant waste of a coffee cup every time you do it.

        Same volume in two $1 cups as the $3 cup! Stupid isn’t it. I put a $1 espresso in my keep cup, then hit $1 cappuccino next and just remove it before it overflows. They always charge me $1 still.

    Here's how I make my 7/11 coffee:

    1) 2 short black shots in a $1 cup (moving cup away prior to each shot "dregs" ending

    2) move cup, press and hold hot milk button, wait for the watery stuff to go away, move cup back and fill

    3) Pay $1

    Much better than just pressing "latte" button for that dish water of a result.

      That sounds like my method, but I hadn't thought of the dregs / watery stuff movements.

      At what point do you know the dregs are coming? I can visually see the watery stuff with the milk part.

      Good idea,

      I used to hit large and use a small cup to get the 2 shots and then move the cup to the side so one channel of milk filled the cup as there would be too much milk for a small cup

      Mine too. Must be the OzBargain Special. Except I like long blacks so I do two $1 shots and fill with water. Always charged $1 except one angry dude at a 7-11 in Sydney CBD

        Yes one franchise owner pulled me up on it, he was overly fussy in general though. I just walk an extra quarter of a block the the next 7/11.

      Honestly, I like to game 7/11 coffee. I put 2x$1 shots in a $2 cup and top up with milk and pay $ 2 (It makes a stronger cup). I think what you're doing breaks the unwritten 7/11 coffee code, 2 X $1 shots plus milk is $2, regardless of what size cup you put it in. Otherwise they'd be called $0.50 shots, which they aren't.

      Milk isn't priced, coffee shots are.

        Actually, it's a self serve machine, we pick a cup size and fill it with whatever we want.. I didn't see any other "rules".

        I could fill the cup with 20 sachets of sugar, milk and a heck tonne of chocolate powder if I wanted, still $1

          That's actually correct, it's based on cup size. I've done two shots of coffee in a $1 cup in front of staff and they don't blink an eye

    The staff at Lithgow are astounding. The loveliest people. They've given me free coffees from time to time so it might be a random thing, not a promotion.

      I got a couple of vouchers last week. I think they occasionally promote their coffee by giving out vouchers. I remember the same thing happening last year.

        He probably means that he procured said beverage via monetary exchange, thus entering into a contract via which he was permitted to take said beverage and mix it with Carbolic Smoke Balls as he saw fit.

        I doubt he stole the drink and they gave him a coupon on his way out.
