  Are you able to stream via chrome cast to a monitor and have the sound come out of the home mini?

    It does support bluetooth speakers or a bluetooth receiver. But I don't think it supports APTX so you might have audio latency issues when watching video. Having an actual line out on the Alexa units is cool but is sort of useless for anything but internet radio as unlike the google devices it does not have standard DLNA for music casting etc.

    The best way to achieve what you are asking is to buy a sub $20 HDMI audio splitter from Amazon or ebay. This will give you a optical/SPDIF digital, and analogue line out, that you can then connect to a receiver or speakers etc.
