Okay, about Acer Stream 900 - NOT the E130.

    • CPU is QSD8250 @ 1GHz - now this CPU is the older gen. one - the one that comes with Andreno 200 - basically the CPU is on par with HTC Desire.
    • 2GB built-in memory??? Really?? A lot of sites indicate 500MB ROM only. I wouldn't really count on it has 2GB internal memory.
    • Quad band support - well that's for GSM only (voice). 3G support is 900/1900/2100 - no NextG (850) support.

I hope I am wrong and the CPU is actually QSD8250A (with Andreno 205) and it has 2GB built-in memory. However, given that the OS is Android 2.1, QSD8250 with the old Andreno 200 is more likely.

It does have an AMOLED screen. This phone is basically Acer's version of HTC Desire except there is no official Android 2.2 support. Not worth getting at $349 I reckon.

    • Agreed. GSM arena lists its release date as may '10. So that puts it firmly in old gen territory. $200 would be a bargain I reckon, maybe $250. Otherwse the huawei etc offer better bang for buck.

      • the x5?

what's the best deal on the x6 atm?

  • If people really like the Acer Stream 900 there's this listing on eBay

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Acer-Stream-900-Android-Mobil…

Aus seller $349 outright with Aus warranty, not to mention free postage. Now that gotta be better than dealing with COTD

*Just noticed that its a Top Buy listing

  • Is the ACER E130 Next G compatible?
