If gonna use, for sure. I have both and a shield as well, in my experience built in chromecasts are a bit less reliable for some reason. No idea why so YMMV.
I'll back this up, the Vodafone TV chrome cast works well enough but it's not as stable as a genuine standalone CC.
Agree with this. Also there are some features the built-in doesn't have like native apps incl Google photos screensaver
dont think kayo supports vodafone tv. Notes on kayo website "We have launched Android TV with devices that provide the best viewing experience. At this stage, Kayo is not supported on Vodafone TV, however it is on our roadmap. For updates on devices, continue to check back here."
I have the Vodafone TV box and it was super easy to sideload the kayo app. Works flawlessly.

Kayo works fine on a regular Chromecast. I have a first gen chromecast, and I just get a notification telling me it can't do more than 720p.
