Beware that this does not support a stylus and has a slower processor than the tab 4. Also, worth waiting to see if it actually supports Netflix HD (as the A tabs do not and this seems like more of a budget tablet).

    • Apparently it does support Netflix 1080 according to: https://techtablets.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-s5e/review/
‘It does have a Widevine Level 1 cert, so streaming with Netflix at 1080p and Amazon Prime at 1080p isn’t an issue. But there isn’t any HDR support which is odd since this display support HDR.’

      • i believe the galaxy tab A also has Widevine level 1 cert but it still does not support netflix HD. would be safer to have actually tested this or if it is stated under netflix's list of supported devices.

    • 2560x1600 10.5" AMOLED screen
    • 400g weight is nice and light
    • MicroSD expansion

    | Snapdragon 670 is fast enough for most uses
    | USB-C port
    | Wifi-5 (eg AC) and Bluetooth 5.0

    • No headphone jack

It's not a terrible tablet, but it's a shame it's not faster for the price. Plus the headphone jack is a big loss for home use where wired headphones are most convenient.

  • No deal if it's not UFS flash memory chips

It's still worth it just for the OLED screen! Even an iPad Pro will look washed out next to this
Storage wise this is running eMMC 5.1 - Reads around 300 MB/s and writes around 200 MB/s which is still fine

  • I have an iPad Pro and I am so tempted by this just to get an OLED screen again for movies/TV. I just wish there were video apps on Android like Infuse. Even Plex seems to run significantly worse on Android then it does on iOS.

Pro tip: the 128GB model has more (6GB) RAM.

  • Is there an 4g or 5g lte version ?
