          +1 for Apple Strudel :)

        • +2

I concur, I got one yesterday, and it was epic.

          Apple Strudel > Choc

    • +1

      It's $1.90 each.

      • $2 each at Wynyard / Met Centre … =(

  • yum…

  • Their scones are really nice and everyone needs bread (except nazis) so this gets a + from me.

    • why do nazis not eat bread?

      • +13

Something about their ovens I believe

        • -2

I don't get it. Because the ovens are too busy being used for "other activities"?

        • +2

I thought perhaps because Nazis are already sufficiently in-bre(a)d bastards.

  • +1

I like the description in their ad "the love child…" lol

  • +17

Yay Free Loaf! Me missus like the loaf => So I buy myself 2 scones(eat 1 n share 1 with her) and pretend to buy an extra loaf just for her.
Actually, maybe I'll eat both scones on the way home and just drop the loaf on her. :D
hmmm I hope she doesn't read this :O

    • would be epic if your missus reply here now :D

    • But what will you say if you get home and she tells you she bought a scone from BB just for you? And she's looks like she just had a loaf. And a scone. LOL

  • +3

nice deal, expensive scones though but with a free loaf of bread good deal.

    • How much are the scones?

      • $1.90 each/ $3.80 for 2.
So, basically, you get the loaf & 2 scones for $3.80.

        • +1

Plain scones are $1.70 each. But the choc ones are the best IMO!

  • +1

Thanks, about time, their goods are rather expensive.

  • Prices like that it's quite the steal… So you're basically pinching a loaf.

    • +5

Careful, you might get deported to Tasmania !!!

  • bakers delight just 5 mins away from me, hmmmmmmmmmmm

  • there prices sucks

    • +5

      yeah they're prices do suck.

  • +1

I went to Bakers Delight in Westfield Eastgardens. The lady didn't accept my printout and told me that I needed to have a "card". She then handed me a card that has three offers:

Offer 1: 2 free scones when you buy any loaf (Valid from 19/5-25/5)
Offer 2: 1 free traditional load when you buy 2 scones, which is the same the what's on the printout. (Valid from 26/5-1/6)
Offer 3: 2 free scones OR 1 free tranditional loaf when you complete offers 1 & 2. (Valid from 2/6-8/6)

Anyway I ended up buying a white loaf for $3.7 and she gave me 2 scones for free.

    • +1

Wait…isn't that 10c cheaper than buying 2 scones and getting a free loaf? Plus loyalty bonuses. Score!

      • but I still felt hurt when she didn't accept my printout.

      • -1

2 scones is $2.90 according to post above, so he paid a bit more

        • +1

Nah, I paid $3.80 for 2 of the filled scones. The original scones were $3.40 for two though.

  • going to use it now

  • +1

    worked for me thanks

Personally I wouldn't touch those B.D. scones - not because they're bad, but they're just loaded with sugar and fat in absurd quantities. I remember when they introduced the choc mud scones a few years ago (they were a limited trial at first), and they were great, but they gave me like a 2 hour sugar rush which was something quite unreal. Never ate them again since. Expect to acquire type 2 diabetes if you eat them on a regular basis.

    • Sounds like a lot of widely available, commercially made food :]

    • I think it'd probably be helpful to think of these scones as 'cakes' to give a better idea of their nutritional profile

  • Beats Bakers Delight's other deal that's been running quite successfully for quite a few years now…

    FREE personal bankruptcy with each franchise bought;

    http://bakersdlies.com/

  • used it today tried the new apple strudel scone. such a rip off, would never buy it normally, but flavour is alright. bit light on the apple and cinnamon though.

    • Yeah, same here. Tried the dates and apple one. Taste isn't bad but $2 a pop isn't reasonable!

  • Coles sell a 6 pack of scones for $3 and they're the same size as the Baker's Delight ones.
They taste the same as well.

    • coles ones aren't that nice. coles hot cross buns though were much better, and great value. I went every morning to get them warm out of the oven. they won silver award at the easter show, much better value than bakers delight rip offs!

  • +1

Bakers Delight offers better quality scones I believe, the texture is much different compared to Coles.
    Definitely using the coupon tomorrow!

  • +1

thanks for this, I bought 2 very yummy scones (apple strudel and white choc) and got a loaf of very fresh bread.(choice of white or wholemeal, price tag said $3.7) bakers delight is good quality but expensive so this is good offer!

    • +1

forgot to mention, my printout was accepted at North Sydney store without problem.

  • +2

yep accepted at st ives no problem. Bakers delight makes the best bread which is why I go there, but their other goods are just rediculous prices now and they have shrunk in size/skimped on fillings on alot of their products.

  • +1

Yumm! Thanks-got mine yesterday. She did study the printout rather a long time but gave it to me :)

    • +1

You'd think head office (not just BB, but many other businesses) would tell franchisees about these offers, but no, very often the employees know nothing about it.

  • I am spreading the love around the 3 bakers delight near me. The vouchers have been honoured every time. Thanks :)

  • Yeah, no problems redeeming this offer twice, though the staff looked at the voucher for a while. Good thing this sort of offer doesn't happen often, the scones are chock full of sugar and bad for me (read: too much temptation but lucky they are expensive). LOL
